What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Even though it has only been 3.5k miles since my last oil change, I did one today, anyway.
After swapping the valve cover gaskets the other day, I just wanted to be sure there was nothing in the oil that had fallen into the valve area when cleaning up the crud around the mating surface on the head for the new gaskets.

Engines always sound so much smoother with fresh oil in them.

I always change the oil at 3k (old school) just a best practice in my case considering i drive the dogshit out of them lol

My OCIs depend on the vehicle and how it's used.
Only use synthetic and some are 3k and some are 5k.
But my antique cars get an oil change once a year even if they've only got a few hundred miles to a couple thousand on them.

And yeah, the way you abuse your vehicles you need a short OCI.

Yeah they are and ill never go on one. Tourist price gouging is what it is.
I live up in Sandpoint, smaller town and i can be in the woods camping or quading in less than an hour.
Personally, i would never live in a larger town again.

I’m ordered one of those hot staplers that you can use to fix cracks in plastic. The dash in the Tahoe I just bought has cracks in the 2 regular areas- over the instrument cluster and by the airbag. The tool was $20 on Amazon. Considering the fact that the new dashes are about $600 now, I’m not buying one for this rig. I might end up selling it after I fix my 02. The process to pull the dash and repair it is the same as replacing it so I figure I’ll try. I attempted this on my 08 Silverado and it ended up being too brittle. Maybe this will time it will work better. I’ll keep this updated.

I don’t have one of those otherwise I’m sure it would be cracked around it. I will add reinforcement like I did on the new one I put into my Silverado, using 1/8’ steel rounds and epoxy in the areas of the cracks. That is of course if the thing isn’t too brittle but I’ll know when I remove the front piece by the windshield. If the areas where those clips pop into the dash start to break I’ll stop right there.

On my 07 Yukon, I put a new sunroof seal on it today. Slight pain getting the new seal on, but not horrible.

If you haven't looked at them yet, check the diff mount bushings and replace the mounts if needed. Might save some future clunking.

Maybe the pcm is adding more fuel when it's colder because it needs it. Gonna get a tune on the new motor?
