I'd be surprised if your evap canister has an electrical connection. Maybe you mean the evap vent valve?

Yes I do, it was the vent valve. Cleared the P0449 CEL code. Thanks for the redirection!

the evap's can take anywhere from 2-3 day's to 2-3 weeks to complete self testing and set properly.
unless it's somehow flat out bad. I wouldn't call it good until a scanner shows it set. keep your fingers crossed.

New suspension all around! I'll eventually get details in my build thread, but I went Eibach Pro-Truck shocks. new springs fr/rr, new bushings everywhere, diff drop, steering inners/outers. Getting close....

Disclosure: my mechanic did this. Would've done it myself, but had a time crunch... that promptly disappeared. But couldn't leave my mechanic hanging after booking him for a full day. There's still some stuff to do, which I'll get to do myself now that time freed up. Will give me a chance to look over the work. B/c I'm nosey, or just possessive of my truck like that.

Changed the oil in it. Hard to believe I have driven it less than 5,000 miles in 2 years.

The engine was warm since I had driven it this morning. Once the drain plug was out, it looked like arterial bleeding going on. Made a mess on the driveway.

Insulation project continues with spraying DEI Boommat on inside all rear cargo and passenger panels. After they dried, I flipped and sprayed SEM Shale Gray, on the upper half.
New shoes and alignment tomorrow!!

That SEM Color Coat is great stuff. I wanna paint my upper trim and headliner some shade of gray, maybe like a non-metallic version of the body color. Looking forward to the finished interior pics!

Drove it to the airport at 6am to catch a flight to Denver and on to Vegas. I’d rather eat lint than go to Vegas for the 14 billionth time, but here I am killin it.

Best part of traveling though is visiting restaurants I love but can’t get to very often. This risotto dish was lunch at Root Down at Denver international. Yum!

I got a rattle in the rear end that is driving me FKN NUTZ!!!!!!!!!

Only on washboard surfaces like rough concrete pads. Sounds like the right rear. I found a nut missing off a rear sway bar link, swore that was it. Replaced it, still there. No play in the links at all. No play in shock mounts or hardware. Spare tire heat shield is intact, properly mounted and secure.

Replaced worn exhaust hanger bushing, still there. I got pissed off and removed the spare and winch over the weekend. I was under there pounding on the frame/exhaust to try and duplicate the noise. The vapor solenoid on the rear crossmember above the spare has a little bit of looseness but I don't think that is it. I am getting some rattling from the rear bumper cover against the steel under bumper/hitch. And driving without the spare the rattle is still there.

My right tail light housing had a rattle due to worn out rubber grommets. I used a few dabs of silicone adhesive on the ports to tighten that up. Rattle is still there.

I am thinking of injecting some silicone adhesive between the bumper step and frame to create a cushion and see if that clears it up. Grrrr.....
