New headlights in the '07. The old ones were yellow and embarrassing. Got a guys weekend coming up starting tomorrow and we're taking the Yukon to the Commanders game on Sunday. I can't show up with my rig looking like a hooptie with yellow headlights.

Front brakes pads and rotors. Should be a simple job. Then life punches you in the diggler for no reason.

Driver's side caliper boots didn't want to fold up properly when pressing them back, so that was a fun time.

Then the passenger side rotor bolt decides to be frozen & strip.

It's funny how an hour can turn into two.

I rebought Raybestos Element3 pads/rotors from RockAuto. I will say, I was happy with the braking performance throughout the 2+ years of service, and especially how the rotors didn't rust, so whatever that light paint/coating is that they cover the rotors in is pretty good against road salt/brine spray.
For those I use one of these, actually the older version, you just smack it with a hammer and it "hopefully" breaks it loose. always has worked for me

Yeah, I need to get one of those, in general.

Not sure it would have helped this time... I did set the T30 bit in the screw head, and whacked it with a hammer a few times. Driver's side came out with zero issues.

I probably forgot to add some anti-sieze on the passenger side when I first did the brakes.

I have had that tool for years, pretty sure it has saved me a few headaches
I believe mine is the more beefy 1/2" version though

Finally got rid of the aftermarket OZ chrome wheels that came on my 2009 Denali when I bought it a few months ago. Got a set of Silverado 20” rims off FB Marketplace.

I might spring for some black hubcaps and lug nuts soon to go with them. For now a big improvement!

I never use the screw. The lug nuts sandwich the rotor hat between the wheel and the hub.

I recorded a data log to update my transmission tune since the rebuild and torque converter replacement. I can't get enough of the sound of my built L9H. Procharger is very near in it's future now that the transmission is built. Here is a cell phone video:

Glad to see you back on the road look out everybody LOL.
