Which version will be strong enough for the lead in your foot? Will they custom build you one made of titanium?that place in Texas doesn't show one for the yukon, well it does but only a 53" (up to 2009) then it skips to 2015, mine is 61.5"
the local place said they can build me one for about $450 (race ready) steel, aluminum or carbon fiber
Auxillary transmission cooler:
Approx cost for parts and labor to have this installed on my 2007 Yukon.
My cross country tow is coming up and I am getting antsy and wandering if this add on is needed onto my 2007 Yukon?
Here is the tow sheet stats for my VIN rig:
I have installed a Tekonsha brake controller and an Equalizer WDH to assist.
20 foot tandem axle 2021 cargo trailer - dual 3500lb axels exc condition trlr.
empty trailer weight is 3000lbs - will load approx 4000lbs into it.
just 1 person ( me ) in tow vehicle.
If I stop multiple times to allow xmission to cool down can I skip the auxillary cooler?
I have to go over both cascade mtn pass and Rocky mtns 2500 mi tow.
I can take my time and just drive 8 hours a day or less if it helps my tow rig
No I can't lolBut ya can’t beat it…….![]()
I left on my trip with it, I get a slight vibration around 70~85 but can only feel it on certain surfaces and the slip yoke feels weird. Feels like the rear end is dropping on acceleration from a stop sometimes and I can feel it sometimes when braking and accelerating. So I will probably just have one made or order one when I get backWhich version will be strong enough for the lead in your foot? Will they custom build you one made of titanium?
$450 isn’t a bad price at all. It’s been a few days so I may have missed your news. Did you ever hear back from the stealership regarding their “oops”?
If you have a digital temp gauge, you can drop your thermostat into a pot of boiling water to test whether it’s working properly or not. The OEM ones are usually pretty cool proof, but that doesn’t mean it’s not sticking for whatever reason. My coolant temp occasionally goes to 199 degrees, used to stay at 192-194..
Temp comes down within a minute or two after hitting 199. I am thinking this could be one or both things..
1. new thermostat is sticky, it's a new stock GM one..
2. head gasket leak near temp sender (still smelling coolant, think the hissing sound I heard was the AC pressue equalizing, had an ear infection that blew out my timpanic membrane so I'm listening with one ear)
Certainly smell coolant from the exhaust, and the exhaust pipe which was always pure black, seems to have a crusty tan layer on the edge.
Have noticed a little bit of coolant loss in about 150-200 miles of driving.. (was middle of line, now it's a hair under)
Thinking about taking a nearly 2000 mile roadtrip.. Thinking I better do a headgasket first..
Any recommendations on headgasket (will stick with stock GM unless there is a better one) and other necessary procedures? (skimming head?)
So far I'm planning on new lifter guides, headbolts, intake/exhaust gaskets. Check tightness on vlom.. Just want to do the basics to get this sealed up and running as quickly as possible..

Almost completed your break in period.
Only 4 months old? How much shit has he eaten or destroyed already? I love dogs, but that puppy stage SUCKS! Mine turned a year in April and she's still tearing shit up. Not as bad as before, but still at it.Walking up to my workshop this morning I see this, which is a bit of a shock to me since my Denali sat up here for the better part of two years. Granted I’m the one who pulled my tractor into the barn last night so I could grease it up this morning, but it was still a surprise to see this green beast instead of my Denali or an empty space.

And damn is he getting big. At just over four months, he weighs more than my wife’s dog and she’s a year and a half old. He jacked his posts up while sleeping last night so I had to cut out the middle brace this morning.

Now lets go make some braided -6 AN trans cooler lines!
I just compared prices between Amazon and the original SolderStick site. Even on sale, the Chiwanese stuff on Amazon is a lot cheaper, like half the price. I put a kit on my birthday wish list! Thanks for the endorsement.I would say it's comparable. Certainly much easier. And it has the waterproofing seals built into it. I am sure you will be hooked once you use them and get used to installing them. It's the tight corners/spaces where this is tough to use. That's why I like that small heat gun I posted that I came across with the deflector shield. That is added to my wish list.
And after 1240 miles of mostly highway driving I hit 11.9mpg lol
Only thing he's hauling is assis that towing?
is that towing?
Just my heavy foot, 12mpg is good for meis that towing?
