I made mine out of this stuff.Where does one find these?
You mean the driveshaft? Yeah, those are out of production. I wrote down all the part numbers if you want to have a new one made up.bad news is a new oem one is no longer available
good news is a dorman one can be overnighted if necessary
Same. Worked great.I made mine out of this stuff.

Cleaning the TB and assembling the new TPS and crossing my balls and praying.
It was very loose. It pulled right out of that socket and stuck to the motor prong. Not supposed to do that. I buttoned everything up and fired it up. Seems normal so far. I just did a few laps around town. I have a slight acceleration during a slow roll, coming to a stop, or backing up, but it settles down. If it doesn't self adjust I will have my mechanic do the idle relearn. I'm still on pins and needles but I am hoping to hell this is fixed now.was the terminal missing?
It's not far, a few miles. Just head down until you see the bridge for San Luis Pass, and there should be a pull-off/dirt road before that.
You'll need to drive down some (potentially flooded) sand roads to get to the beach. But then it's open... Follow the beach back east to get away from the trash and mobs fishing.
I wouldn't recommend swimming there at all. The currents will rip you away. But, during the week it's quiet and great.
Did the old tps have a crack in the plastic? It was very loose. It pulled right out of that socket and stuck to the motor prong. Not supposed to do that. I buttoned everything up and fired it up. No I don't see any. Have you seen or heard of that before? I know you got to make sure to line up the slot to the butterfly shaft correctly or that will really fk things up. In those pics i posted see the slot in the switch the shaft goes into? Notice how the new one was not the same orientation? I used a small screwdriver to match the position of the old one. With the silver prong sides to the top and left and the plastic parts to the right and down. And paid close attention when assembling that the shaft slid into that groove properly and the electrical tabs as well.Did the old tps have a crack in the plastic?
Just one with 1415 series u-joints that almost would fit (1.81" longer) ours if so equipped. 15109398. Nevermind, that one was discontinued too.thats a shame. i was able to buy a oem for my 96 in like 2015. shame they ended so early.
is is possible to use one from something newer?
So round trip travel time was about 40 minutes?Put about 50 miles on it round trip to go replace the plugs and wires on my stepdad's '14 Silverado.
Basically just look at those areas on your radiator support that has holes that push fittings can snap into. I keep this kit on hand, it handles most of the fittings on the truck.@Sparksalot, How many attachment points per flap? It's looking like one up top and one near the middle?
