So, you’re saying the wiper arms on thecopcar aren’t standard gmt900 fare?

you have the correct ones it calls for. (i think), if you drive thru a car wash does the high speed drying fan makes the wipers lift off the glass?
I poked around a few years I think the 2012 tahoe shows it can use either one (angled or not angled)
is the mounting bolt splined?
this is what ra shows for the 2012 tahoes angled or straighter with a j hook

the j hook style go out with less angle and then the jhook part corrects it with a bend so the blades sit right, but I think this gives them less downforce
Interesting, when i go through carwash dryers, my blade (driver side mainly) floats up about 1-2".

you might also notice if you drive above say 85mph in the rain that a standard wiper blade will start to lift off the glass and not work as well. I have corrected that with 3rd party wiper blades but a firmer wiper arm couldn't hurt as well. I am probably in the 1% bracket that will on occasion drive that fast or faster in the rain. rain is my nemesis. hydroplaning does not always end well.

I’ve never taken it through an automatic car wash because of the radio antennas. I’ve also never had the wipers ever try to lift and be less effective at any speed.

All this wiper arm talk reminds me. I tried to take off my driver's side arm. I took the nut off but the arm is frozen to the stud. I need to find a small puller to grab it off or something.
ya and that's the problem most of us will probably run into if taking the arm off, I have a puller set not sure if it is small enough for my wiper arm though. harbor freight probably has some different sized ones.

Yeah I got a couple big pullers but I don't want to fumble around the windshield and break the fkg thing ya know? The only small puller I have is a 3 jaw.

Just snuck a driveway oil change in over my "lunch". Don't tell my boss.

But, as I was standing there watching Asplundh massacre the limbs along the power lines while waiting for my oil pan to drain, I was thinking about yesterday doing the water pump, and part of my mysterious coolant loss issue. The radiator was 100% leaking at the weld, but in this photo the block looks really crusty where the water pump would obscure your eyes.

Is this how a nine-year old iron block would look? Or, do you experts think there could have been a leaky water pump gasket or two?

In any event, after buttoning up the oil change, I went for a little 5 minute drive to get it up to temp and adjust the coolant level (I didn't quite top it off yesterday). No oil or coolant leaks, but while under the car I did see signs of the ATF coolant lines having a little weep at the gasket that mates to the transmission case.

PS: I have the new lines waiting to go in, but I just need to pull a crossmember out to make enough finangling room for that long cooler hose.

PPS: Where can I find that tiny grey plastic clip that holds the two electric fan power wires in the black harness clip? (You can see both harness connectors at the bottom of the pic, but the one on the right is missing the piece in question)

I blindly pulled the grey piece off the parent black part yesterday, and lost it somewhere on my driveway. (I assume its in the land of 10mm sockets)

one of mine was broken or missing at some point and I don't remember if I got it from the dealer or found something at the auto parts store or ordered it online it was one of the 3 lol

I have used this in the past on other vehicles. Not absolutely positive that it fits the Yukon, but I would think it should.
