Starter gear hanging and slapping the flywheel?
Anything to do besides pull it and look at it?Starter hanging

I idolized him when I was younger, had one of his movies on VHS and played it 100times. The actual story of his death is pretty brutal too, it stabbed him many many times. The camera crew and his dive partner didn’t realize he was bleeding until they came back up to the boat and saw him taking his gear off sitting in a massive puddle of blood. He bled out almost as soon as they noticed his wounds and they still did cpr for over an hour. Pretty heart breaking for the dudes with him. The camera guy said “I just kept filming because I though he’s to tough to die” or something close to that.was genuinely upset when that hero passed. still too soon bro
the queen? didnt really give a shit

Can you see up there through and inspection plate or something and have someone start it? Or go pro and start it? If it's new, can you warranty exchange it? That's about the the only thing it could be, if it's only doing it when you you're starting it. I haven't worked on anything that needs shimmed in, well, years. Sbc era. If it's something that could use a shim, you could try to get it shimmed out a bit
Try to slide it away from the flywheel if you can. That may get it far enough away to give it that extra fraction of a second to return. Hopefully it's an easy fix for youThat’s kinda what I figured, I haven’t been under it and looked yet, but I don’t think there’s an inspection hole. I’ll remove and reinstall maybe it will fix itself, change sounds, or have physical evidence of being bad somehow. I can always Amazon another for $60 and return the old one.
What was wrong with the original pos that you needed to build a new pos?Instead of messing with stuff like the starter I decided to chop up the rear bumper and build something. Not done, still need to incorporate a receiver, build angled caps for the bottom piece to tie into the top tube, and reinforce the factory mounts somehow. This is what I have so far, not welding it at home this 4x4 is atleast 1/4” wall so I’ll prep everything really good at home and take it to class to burn in with a big boy welder and free gas lol.
It had saggy butt syndrome due to the body lift, and there’s no receiver. Plus I’m pretty sure somebody tried to ****** it out of the mud from the ball mounted to the bumper because it was out of wack. What was wrong with the original pos that you needed to build a new pos?
I think you were just looking for some shit to weld up myself. It had saggy butt syndrome due to the body lift, and there’s no receiver. Plus I’m pretty sure somebody tried to ****** it out of the mud from the ball mounted to the bumper because it was out of wack.

I’m seriously thinking about taking welding classes. It’s something I’ve wanted to learn for a long time. I’m just afraid I’ll fail and my shit will look like some of those ugly welding pictures on social media where they’re making fun of some monstrosity.Yes and yes, I’ve had these piece of 4x4 for several years and I kept them because I wanted to get a cheap POS and build bumpers with them. It would have been a front bumper if this one wasn’t in such good shape. Since the rear is ugly as sin, it was the obvious choice. I really want this truck to be capable of towing my little trailer with 4wheeler on it, therefore a bumper with hitch was mandatory.
Honestly had the bumper been done this morning I’d have used the ranger to tow the Tahoe home instead of the Lexus. Fwd transaxles don’t typically like towing and that car is way to nice to abuse.
