Well, let's see it! You know the drill! LOL

I'm thinking the same thing since TDS is not so Tech-2 friendly anymore. How do you like it?
that software is a PITA by comparison to the tech2 but is more feature rich I haven't fired up the tablet in months so it probably needs a update, I think I got the license setup for 2022 I will have to plug it in and charge it up, using the software cost's more, can't tell from the tds website if the sps cost is still the same with gds2 or not

Can someone please share with me the tq specs for the exhaust manifolds on the 5.3 (12)? Gotta get these shorties sealed up.View attachment 377144
Looking good!

First pass 15 Nm (11 lb-ft)
Final pass 25 Nm (18 lb-ft)
Tighten bolts beginning with the center 2 bolts. Alternate from side-to-side, working toward the outside bolts.

Put never seize on those babies too

Finally put the lubelocker gasket on the 14bolt to replace the new and failed felpro I had on there.
Topped it off with amsoil.
No puddles under it this morning.

Needs a wash and check the oil level before I put a few hundred miles on it this weekend.

Why do aftermarket header/bolts loosen but not factory?

Things that make you go hmmm
Because they have a smaller bolt head surface area so less contact to keep it in place, less metal coverage overall so more prone to heat/cold expansion, they make locking ones I have seen them or pictures of them anyway

I've used locking ones before with aftermarket headers, just didn't know why OE bolts didn't loosen. Them having bigger heads make sense.

I installed Stage8 one's that have a tab then a C clip that holds the tab into position, but they're really a pain in the ass and hope you don't lose the C clip.

I then switched to some Breslin Split Locks which I like and are easier. The threaded part is split and there is a set screw in the center of the head that spreads the split part slightly after installing. I think the patent is expired now and other brands make them, like Summit, Mr Gasket, and Percy's.

Planning on changing out the front and rear differential fluid. Manual says they both take synthetic 75w90 gear oil. Says nothing about limited slip modifier so I was going to get the Mobil Delvac with no additive.

Also doesn't give me a capacity and researching online I've found 2.75qts rear and 1.8qts front. Is this about right, even for the Denali with AWD? I was going to buy 5qts. Will that be enough or way too much?
