I wanted to post something positive after not liking the GM perf. exhaust, overrated and a pass imo.

The Brembo brakes on the other hand, BUY them if you like pedal feel or are coming from a German car. I feel everything they quote in the release - 42% larger, 16.1 rotors, 84 percent increase in brake pad area, 31 percent reduction in pedal force and 12 percent reduction in pedal. Imo, well worth the money.

For me, I felt the stock brake pedal was mushy, especially on hard braking - how hard do I need to push to get some feedback or get it to stop? They never gave me confidence.

When bedding the rotors/pads today, they actually overpowered the tires and locked them up a little which is the feeling I would prefer. The stock brakes could never overpower the tires which is sad because the tires are made for a mileage goal and road noise (imo), thus not the stickiest compound available. The downside to the brakes, now I want to show them off and look for a new tire/wheel combo. Very happy with this addition. Yes, they are expensive but it is something I felt the first time I pressed the brake pedal.

What was your main issue with the GM performance exhaust, was it sound? Did you got with the dual exit or the single?

The brakes look good. After spending what they want for them, I'd show them off as well. Post up some pics of them behind your current wheels.

Looks like the removed this option from the 23 order guide (for the Yukon- not sure about Tahoe/burb). Bummer bc our yet to be picked up order had them and now looks like will have to get after the fact.

There's another thread in this forum where people may have retrofitted the PPV brakes which are similar but the caliper is not exactly the same. I believe the PPV retrofit is less expensive and more neutral colored.

When I am ready for this upgrade over the stock setup, do we "have to" go via GM part numbers or can we buy direct thru Brembo? I would rather see "Brembo" vs "Performance".

Months before I bought my AT4, there was a set of 2021 GM Brembos on eBay for $1800 that I should have bought and sat on until now. Now that I'll have much bigger wheels, I'll be needing them. Although, I would prefer an 8-Piston brake over a 6.

There are plenty who will argue on here but I agree, the Brembos are worth every penny. I love them so much I had to buy another set for my wife’s.

I have the Big Brake package on my 2015 Denali. Word of warning. No one told me this when I ordered them or after having them installed. Your spare tire will not fit Over the Brembos . GM answer, (I found out the hard way! ) is to do a 2 tire change if the flat is in the front. So they even put out a service notice. Swap out the rear tire 1st with spare and take back tire to replace the front flat. I tried putting a 20in spare underneath but won’t fit as it’s molded for an 18. 20in is the smallest rim to fit over them. If I had known this not sure if I would have gotten them. Just a word of warning!

Guess I need to check this....but since I have a 2022 w/22" rims...wouldnt the spare tire as well be a 22"...thus would fit by default over the Brembos?

That just pushed me to go ahead and do the dual exhaust conversion on my 2008 and delete the spare.

There was a thread somewhere around here saying the spare is a 20", and did not fit on the 21+ with brembos

I have a 265/70/R17 as a spare in my 2015 Denali. Why wouldn't a 275/55/R20 not fit in the spare position? They are virtual identical in overall size.

I tried it barely fit but at 70 mph if created a bad vibration because it wouldn’t properly hit in the spot for the spare. i used a 20inch rim and tire combo

19" should be minimum... (although i have a StopTech BBK / 15" 6 pot, all 4 corners) i found out hard way too...
had a flat. had to put orig tire back on & over inflate it & crossed fingers i made it to dealer... which i did.
thankfully it was a slow leak

i then picked up a 22" transit rim w/ 305 ... fit perfect in spare location

not necessarily... my '15 came w/ 22s but had a 17" spare (which would fit OEM brakes)

a 22" transit rim w/ 305/45-22 fits perfect w/ no issues
