Can you share the link for radiator? I'm also in the market for a replacement/upgrade for my 2014 5.3, w/K5L package. I'm searching their website now, but coming up short using their search function.

EDIT: I think I found it... is this what you ordered?: https://www.alloyworksplus.com/coll....collection_1.16&spm_prev=..search.header_1.1

Edit 2: Are these products legit? I see their address is based out of Shanghai, so I assume that's where they're manufactured.
I got it from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/ALLOYWORKS-C...&qid=1644947172&sprefix=Alloyw,aps,402&sr=8-5
Dropped right in, just the passenger side mount needed a spacer.

Guess I’ll be the first to find out .

I did fine with a cheap $130 "Champion" branded radiator for my C4 vette.

I ended up having some headgasket sealing issues under WOT, that pressurized the crap out of my cooling system.
I ran a 26psi radiator cap as a workaround for a while.

It ended up bulging the tanks a little. :jester:

Went to an MLS style head gasket to fix it later on.
The radiator still works fine, it just has some extra capacity now... :emotions33:

That radiator had some manufacturing defects that didn't hurt its function.
Like the whole radiator had a slight "twist" to it from welding it together I assume.
Didn't affect the fitment much, but I had to use spacers to make it right anyways.

I doubt i would give it much thought, I'm sure it will be fine.
Only difference is probably materials, thicknesses of the aluminum tanks etc.

That said, I nearly sprung for the Mishimoto due to reviews.

Many here have the cold case radiator and have had no issues with it.
Positive feedback.
I went with that

So that $396 shipped is about the most I’d ever wanna spring for a radiator. The Mishi at $600 is ridiculous.

It looks like the one direct from AllowWorks doesn't include the brass nipple connectors, but the Amazon version does.
Just a couple thoughts that hopefully will be helpful. When I was researching radiators, I read an article that made the case for a 3-row radiator being less effective than a 2-row for cooling because of less airflow through the coils. And, either a 2 or 3 row will be thicker than the OEM radiator, meaning that you'll need to trim the fan shroud on the top and bottom to fit flush.

I have the cold case (which is a 2-row) and am happy with its performance so far. I installed it last summer and it cools significantly better than stock, which is important for the way I use our XL Denali to pull a 7000 lb camper in hot weather in the mountains. I'm sure you'll be happy either way you go, but wanted to share my experience at least.

Will trimming the shroud apply to the electric fans that I have? (vs. mechanical fan shroud?)

It looks like my shroud is already flush with the back of the radiator. I'll have to go out an poke around some more to verify.

I also see this Liland radiator on Rock Auto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=10331768&cc=3305736&pt=2172&jsn=327

Yes, mine has electric fans, too (it's a 2012). But the part you have to trim isn't visible in your photo - it's the top and bottom of the fan shroud. There's a strip of plastic that seals against the top and bottom of the coils. You can see it in this pic along the left side of the image and in the bottom right of it as well:

I just bought a Coldcase in January. I did not need to trim the fan shroud at all, the way others had to in the past. The end tanks on mine also look bigger, so I'm thinking a running design change has been made.

Correct, the Chevy Forum Decoder has 3.08 listed. I'll get a snapshot later and update this post with the Chevy Forum data.

I think the issue there is it does not know if the vehicle has k5l or not, on the last page under "tech specs" it shows 3.42 being a option to 3.08
that's dependent on if it had k5l or not

I am probably going order one before summer hits, did you need to do anything with the return line to the reservoir tank? where did you order it from?

That tells me something about the company, accepting feedback and actually improving their product vs just going for a money grab.

Then there was the cost of the mishimoto one, not worth it IMO.
Factory radiator can be had for $200 (+/-).
I'm willing to spend a little extra for a nicer one, so i did.

I ordered it from Summit, and had it in two days.

For the return, I went ahead and cut the nipple from the old radiator, then cut it down to slip into the hose. The actual orifice is about 1/8”.

It looks like the Cold Case unit is $464 w/shipping.

The AlloyWorks is $269 w/free shipping.

Is the Cold Case worth the extra $200? Is the AlloyWorks going to last?
Weird. The AlloyWorks price may fluctuate depending on how many clicks it gets. When I checked just now (3 hours later than you posted), the price was $299.
