I kinda thought they were. Expensive lights! I’m torn on the bulge they have but I hear they work pretty good.
The bulge actually doesn't look that out of place in person/after you see them for a bit.
But yeah, they're not bad. Think I paid $400 or so.

AH, I thought those were closer to a grand. At least they used to be, or do they have different prices/options?

Threw an Amazon catch an on.
Broke the rear diff.
Bought a 139k 14bolt.
Cleaned up the 14b w/g80 gov bomb, new gasket, saw the parking brake shoes delaminated and fell off.
Backlash is .004... tighter than spec, odd for 139k.
"Normal" amount of metal on the magnets for that many miles(assuming it was never serviced).

The new axle looks good! Got any carnage pics of the 10bolt yet?

Yeah, these are the halogen projector version.
The led version is expensive...I also don't like the look of them.

I don't think there's much. I still drove it for like 70mi on just the front wheels. We shall see.

The last one I saw in person my buddy broke it on his drive to work trying to slide through an intersection. He finished his long commute there, and back then drove 30 miles to my house. He thought it was the clutch slipping (Its stick swapped) because it would rev up then suddenly engage and take off but also randomly slip and act like the clutch was disengaged for a few seconds here and there. I only have this pic saved but you can kinda see the spiders are basically all gone but I'm assuming it would randomly find two that were mostly intact and engage with them for a little while. I forgot his was actually an Open diff because it was out of an AWD truck but shows how junk the 10b are with or without a G80.

I had zero rear drive. The only reason I was able to get it to go anywhere was by putting it into four-wheel drive.

I tried the automatic four-wheel drive at first, but it kept revving up and not going anywhere so it would start to engage the front drive, then it would catch up to speed and disengage and then rev up again and then re-engage the front drive so I figured it's going to hurt something in the front end so I just locked it in four-wheel drive and went about my business.
Front wheel drive V8 6,000 lb SUV. Lol

Took a lot longer than anticipated. But got the 14 bolt in and drove it home finally.
Unfortunately I do need to adjust the dust covers, because the wrecking yard and the ever-loving crud out of them, and the driver side is for sure rubbing somewhere when I drive, and the passenger side I heard squeak on the highway next to k rail, but not constantly.

I'll have to disassemble the 10 bolt at a later date and see what actually happened.

It's ridiculous how much of that stuff swaps over.
From what I had read, I was going to need some sort of conversion u-joint. This was not the case. I could have just pulled the straps off the 10 bolt, left the U-joint in the drive shaft and used those same straps and U-joint right back in the 14 bolt.
So a quick trip to the auto parts store to grab a Spicer 1350, and reuse the stock straps, and it's smooth as silk.
The only thing that needed any sort of change, was the spot the brake lines mount on the diff bracket.

But that was easily Bent by hand and bolted right up.

Also finally replaced my melted passenger side airbag helper spring since I have the springs out anyway.

Update on the squeaking / rubbing issue.
Probably not going to investigate into it for another couple hundred miles because it seems to have self clearanced already.
So I'll just wait until I have to do a tire rotation before pulling the wheels and brakes back off to see where it was actually touching.

Pulled the plugs out of every door. Rear driver side door has a bunch of junk in it that I might spend time trying to actually clean out later... But probably just let it rot out the door
Front passenger has what looks like a washer or something blocking the front drain hole. Was able to move it out of the way but not get it out of the door and it started draining some water.
Driver side door had a sunflower seed shell blocking it.
Rear passenger was dry as a bone.

Put the new Moog U-joint strap kit on.

There's some small things I'm sure i've forgotten to post here, but I suppose i should get back to it.
Got my Brian Tooley Racing afm/dod & vvt delete, truck norris cam and springs, some other tid bits.

Got tired of the dang plastic center caps cracking and bowties fogging up.
Got the PPV center caps, sprayed them with Steel-It, grabbed some doorman lugnuts, got hardware free99 from the day job leftovers.
Tried black lugs and caps, didnt really like it, chrome lugs black caps, still not really, then silver caps chrome lugs...and i thinks its just the smaller smoother look i actually dont care for with my off-road aesthetic.
That said, black wheels and caps would hide better.

I've needed to fix the inline I made just so I could run the physical sensor, one end has been leaking for quite a while, especially when it goes over the base 43 PSI.

Apparently the ethanol was eating away at the black nylon or something.

So I need to fix that before I put it back on anyway.

I just need to put enough miles on the dumb thing to get all the sensors ready for the smog check.

But the stock intake back on and the stock tune also... Put in 20 gallons($125) of regular, physical sensor eventually settled on 22%.

With the stock tune and virtual sensor, it reads 3.5%. .. close enough to Eaton or less that it's not ******* it off, I might have to put another $50 in to water it down some more though, keep the fuel trims happy.

Forgot how gutless it feels on a stock tune. It's noticeably slower, especially in the mid-range and it doesn't feel like it pulls at all up top anymore.

And the shifts are so soft it's disgusting, even wide open you don't feel anything...

Kind of forgot how loud the intake really was as well. The stock intake is ridiculously quiet in comparison. But I kind of wondered what this exhaust setup sounded like, but I can never tell because the intake was so much louder. Haha

Pretty sure I'll be able to use the Corsa intake box with the Whipple intake tube, the couplers on the factory tube and the corsa tube line up almost perfectly.

Well, got about a hundred miles on it so far, everything is ready except for the EVAP system...
Sort of running out of time here, not sure if it needs more cycles or if I do have an issue even though there's been no check engine light.

Hauled a Bicycle up to Santa Barbara to hang with a friend.
Put in a Pioneer 8500NEX + front and rear cameras.
Added a Optima Yellow Top battery as a secondary.
Took her down some firer roads with a buddy.
Found out the Driver's side engine mount was trashed.
Put some Ray Bestos R3oo rotors and Police pads on it and a new motor mount.
Took her to my buddies in-laws in Havasu.
Launched the boat a few times...parked it among it's family.
Pulled his boat home.

It's coming, I'm on the clock now. It'll have to wait. :'(

Hard to tell from that picture, but there's actually a lot of space between everybody, but I did make sure to pull up to a spot where nobody would be in front of me as well
