I meant to reply earlier when you originally mentioned the dorman handle. After replacing all 4 handles on the avalanche with the high priced oem, I said eff it and bought a dorman the last time I had one break. I don't care for the "feel" of it, it's not the same but it's held up just fine for the past 4 years or so. It's the driver door so it sees the most action. I did reuse the oem gasket off the broken one. It seemed to be better quality on material and fit. Hope you have good luck out yours as wellJust R&R’d my driver door panel to replace a soon to fail exterior handle.
Also checked my fuel alcohol content. Currently 7%
I will see how it goes. As of now I have two Dorman units and another cheap knockoff on it. Only one not replaced is the LR. The OEM ones have dropped in price to the point I would bet they are not much higher quality than the Dorman parts. I think the feel is “ok” and am satisfied.I meant to reply earlier when you originally mentioned the dorman handle. I meant inside the vehicleThrowback 7oz shortnecks!
Oh yeah. This way he has to wait for a red light, then get out and run around to the front and open up a fresh cold one.I meant inside the vehicle

That's cool, but if put on the back of our rigs it would be difficult to reach when tailgating and it's 7' in the air facing upwards
Around here we have to have front license plate, so I'd just have to figure a way to get down to it and still be able to get back up, lol. That's cool, but if put on the back of our rigs it would be difficult to reach when tailgating and it's 7' in the air facing upwards
I thought that’s what the beer is for.Around here we have to have front license plate, so I'd just have to figure a way to get down to it and still be able to get back up, lol.

Did both rear brakes, come to find out this is the way Baer runs there slotted rotors, which was confusing because I have the front going the other direction (like normal) so I called Baer and they said there rotors have curved vanes so they go this way just like the arrow shows, so I guess I need to flip the front rotors (they didn't have any arrow). found out why the 05 had no parking brake one of the shoes didn't have any pad on it so it got oem rotors and ceramic pads and new parking shoes, I think I got it adjusted right per the dealer service manager put it in drive with no foot on the brake and the vehicle should not roll. The Baer caliper brackets move the caliper out 1 inch to make up for the larger rotor and they hit on the dust shield in back so I had to trim about 1/2-3/4" of an inch off the top and bottom on each side and it makes the passenger side brake line a little tighter then I would like so I took a long punch and hammer and bent the brakeline bracket that is on the rear axle about a 1/2" have to let them season a few days, hot/cold hot/cold cycles

Cheater bar?
It was probably attached to a fence post that he ran over, lol
that's my cheater bar, makes that 148 lbs torqued bolt come right off like butter, then my torque wrench is almost as long so tightening it back up is just as easy
You torque em that high huh? 125 for me. Been doing it since my nbs and my car too. 145 is overkillthat's my cheater bar, makes that 148 lbs torqued bolt come right off like butter, then my torque wrench is almost as long so tightening it back up is just as easy
