22 Denalis are getting de-featured?

I'm going through the order guide. And it sucks that the GMC website isn't updated for 22 yet. From what I was able to figure out the Denali loses the sliding center console option (unless you get the ultimate package) as well as the heads up display as standard option? What else does the 22 lose?

The sliding console is now standard equipment on the denali. If you choose second row bench seats, the sliding console is swapped for the stationary one. The heads up display is also standard for the denali. The 22s actually get a few more features over the 21s like a full 12” driver instrument cluster (21s have 8”) and new infotainment system with google built in.

That's my reading of the order guide as well. It is a bit confusing, but the

= Included in Equipment Group

says to me that those are standard equipment on Denali. The footnotes then indicate other requirements or restrictions.

It can be a bit confusing. I have a 22 Denali on order with the premium package but the power sliding console is listed separately as standard equipment. I also believe reverse automatic breaking is new for 22 as well a dedicated hard camera button so you don't have to click through the infotainment screen to bring the cameras up. In addition, the trailering package has some tweaks.

Yeah it is confusing and 2 different people at my dealer couldn't figure it out. I think it will be cleared up when the gmc web site gets updated.

No HD radio though. And more features on the center screen with Google built in for better or worse...

The refresh will be released in a few days, on the 21st.

While some of these things like digital dash and camera button would be an improvement, I'd rather have a fully chipped and optioned 21 vs a 22 with missing things you would expect to get at this big dollar range....

Does anyone know if they added back in the items they had on constraint in 21's for the 22's? Ie. Wireless Charging, steering wheel lock, etc.?

From what I have been told/can see on the order guide, wireless charging is back for the 22s but steering column lock is still out. Also, with production starting on November 1st, all 4-way lumbar support will be converted to 2-way lumbar for the 22s. Auto start/stop is still removed, at least for the V8 engine.

I thought production on the 22 started on the 6th of Oct? Is the baby max still not in production? Thx

That is correct, production began on October 6th. For those vehicles produced between October 6th and October 31st, 4-way lumber is available. Starting on November 1st, that is removed for 2-way only lumber. I have not really been following the dmax engine since I ordered a 6.2.

A luxury SUV is going to come without HD radio? I guess I'll just wait for the Ford Expedition Stealth Edition Performance Package to enter production and compared against the GMC Yukon Denali.

I've seen no mention of HD radio loss, but could be.

If you look at the new rpo code IOK there is no mention of HD radio when they describe the new 10.2" infotainment. Just says am/fm stereo. And the salesmen mentioned it when we ordered our 22. This doesn't mean definitively there's no HD radio, but it's usually spelled out in the description.

This is directly from the order guide.... unfortunately, HD Radio has been deleted.
