I think I'm gonna have to match the chrome strip on the bumper now

I replaced the fuel pump, but now I have a CEL and the fuel gauge shows empty. I let my buddy that did the exhaust borrow my tech2 until Friday, just my luck. I'll use my Blackbear device in the morning to scan the code. This fuel tank fought tooth and nail to get out, OMG it was the worst!!!
What brand fuel pump did you go with? The fuel level sender is part of the pump assembly along with the FPR and filter. Also, did you make sure to get the arm for the float locked in place?I replaced the fuel pump, but now I have a CEL and the fuel gauge shows empty. Oh crap.P0463, I'm thinking when we had to hook up the hose inside the tank and get the float in, must have jammed it up. In any case, I'm dropping the tank again tonight.
At least it’s fixed! But yeah that must have sucked. It wasn't the float positioning after all. So the new OEM fuel pump didn't come with a new float, we swapped the one from the old one over BUT, being so late and I was tired, I didn't have one of the 2 wires clipped in the whole way. They are itty, bitty wire connectors that look like they break easy. Once we got that wire clipped in, everything is ok. Damn though, dropping the tank 2 nights in a row sucked... Lessons learned
Entice anyone into a race? I hope so!I just completed almost 4000 mile round trip. Gas mileage average was 15mpg, this takes in account elevation changes, and playing around. Had no issues with the new engine or cooling system, but found at lower elevations my exhaust is WAY loud, haha.

Damn. Was that pothole on a freeway?Had a bad day today... Was travelling back from NC Outer Banks back home to Colorado... And hit a huge pot hole in Topeka, Kansas. It took out my driver's side lower ball joint, may have damaged the CV axle, may have taken out the strut, and it DESTROYED the wheel. These are OEM Sierra all terrain wheels I bought a few years ago, so matching up one should be fun. I'm 600 miles from home, I'm incredibly frustrated, as I replaced EVERYTHING a few years ago to prevent this.

Yeah, I-70 West. I was stuck in the passing lane, rig to my right, and a new Tahoe behind me. I had no escape, and when the ball joint failed, I'm surprised I was able to keep it under control.Damn. Was that pothole on a freeway?
We are investigating it now, but it seems they have more loopholes to jump though. I do have video coverage of it, but I will most likely turn it in to insurance.Well I guess I’m glad we don’t have potholes on freeways around here. Our state will pay in case that happens- they bought me a 26” Dub wheel once for $500 for hitting a pothole on a 4-lane highway that goes right through the middle of town. Any chance Kansas will pay?
