Aww schit man. Sorry…

Uh, that sucks. Didn't you have a similar problem with the previous engine?

Ah shoot.

Sorry I missed the bad news first time though.

You are a better man than I, I would be fit to be tied right now.

Yup, nearly the same thing with the last engine.
I don't know what the fk.
I just hope it's not a rear cam bearing again.

I can hear slightly what might be a rod type bearing.
i thought it was lifter before, now that i have the geometry pretty good, i think what i have been hearing is a rod related issue.\

I do recall when i think i sucked the pan dry during engine break-in, while going down a hill in tow mode.
tow mode decided it wanted to run @ 4k + rpm for engine breaking.
I saw the pressure gauge flutter.

if i find a rod bearing, i'm installing a non high flow pump while it's apart.

if it's a rod end bushing, then the machine shop fkd me when they told me they were fine.

If everything is fine, then the engine is coming out and apart.

get this done before metal makes it past the filter. :waytogo:

Also makes me glad i went all **** with the oil filter changes and opening them to see contents. :jester:

No, the shirt isn't splotchy. My mirror is filthy. It's just THAT accurate when reflecting its subjects.

sure you're not related to Fred Durst?
Just get a red hat and wear it backwards....

Is it possible it's still just break in material?

too much, and it should be reducing and not increasing.
it's brass colored, i would expect to see more material from ring seating.
not bearing material.

I'm also right about 1,000 miles...

either way, needs to come apart.
even if just for peace of mind.

If a rod bearing or rod end, then i have $2600 cylinder heads at stake.
and a very tight quench...

and today is a cleaning day.
power washed the garage floor (noticed a dirty film on clothes if i lay on the painted part of the floor)
and the hoe got power washed in the engine bay and undercarriage.

I haven't seen the garage floor so clean forever! :waytogo: :jester:

now it's a rum Saturday.

Next weekend or even later: time to pull the front axle and then the pan.... :banghead:

Yup,

And this crap again. o_O

Good news is,
I might get some spider powers (still waiting).
I think black widow venom makes you stronger or some nonsense.
The kid that liked to vandalize/fk with my stuff has gone to a "Better" place.

and I have a glass of the finest Caribbean rum that can be found outside of cuba.

Life is good... :happy160:

I received an email from Shelton Buick to offer to re- purchase my Denali XL back from me. I paid 17,200 for it in July 2019. Had 134k miles. The offered me $ 11,000.....:-( Now has 164k on it.

Not that I am selling it...It does have 2 small rust spots on rear quarters.. but runs great. I put new air shocks/compressor/rear brakes/tires on it/plugs wires....I ignored the email. Not going to sell at that price.

So prices have dropped.

Well glad to see I'm not the only one having some things not go as planned

Pics to follow. I did a mock up with my ZR1 brake set up......everything went together as expected.......then the boat of fail arrived. I went up to 20" wheels to accommodate the larger brakes, but the offspace/backspacing of my wheels sad F U.

A .50" space would probably make it work, but the wheel/tire set up I have is already flush with the fenders. SO I would have to add spacers and fender flares ($450 +plus paint) to make it work........ OR sell the set up and look for another option.

So what is this about?

Geez, I never had an invisible message, sounds kind of top secret. :)

Probably have to bounce it off the computers at the NSA, I heard we are on heighten alert now.

The other option would be to get different wheels, but again, another option I'm not fond of. Especially with everything I went through to locate and get these wheels done.

NSA, its nothing like you see in the movies, trust me. But its a squirrely organization for sure.

I worked for a company that had division that did contract work for the NSA among other departments in the Federal government. It was mainly crypto stuff.

They were walled off from the areas I worked, had separate entrances with and special security. Occasionally I would have to have a meeting with one of the guys who worked on that side. When you first sat down, if you said something like, "how are you doing?", they might respond, "why do you ask?" Different world that. :)
