Not bad for Cali. I paid $3.87 for 87 E10 at Costco yesterday. Here, the only close E85 pump the guy just sets the E85 price at what Costco is selling E10 87, so other than when I am dicking around with my virtual Ethanol content sensor errors, it makes no sense whatsoever to buy E85.

I suspect if they were making E85 out of potatoes, it would be everywhere here and cheap... :)

My goal this weekend is to powerwash the under side and get the hoe up on jack stands.

Got some good rain the last few days, noticed a puddle of sand from my property forming in the garage.

So i need to get the undercarriage as clean as possible.

I hate getting dirt in the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth when working under a vehicle.
;)
Sounds familiar. I used a coin wash yesterday before getting my oil changed. Not the topside, I only washed the underside. :Big Laugh:

Partly because I’m a nice guy, but mainly to reduce the possibility the oil change tech would get dirt in my new filter.

The guy that owns the pump is an interesting fellow. He owns a used car dealership nearby. He has a ton of very nice exotic cars and performance cars like late model 'vettes, etc. He also has a whole section dedicated to electric cars.

I think like that car insurance ad slogan, "he likes to do things differently.."

Get your wet teddy bears! :)

And i changed the oil filter...

Yup pan is coming off.

Bets if it was the high flow oil pump sucking air because of too much flow?

Possibly ran a crank or rod bearing dry...

I'm just hoping it's not a cam bearing, and that i don't have to pull the engine. :(
Aww schit man. Sorry…

I continue to attempt to this procedure, despite knowing the end result... Just can't help myself. Lol
You can tell a true optimist, they are they guy who, in their good clothes, jumps in to fix something simple… :)

Recently I have had a couple of occasions to slide under the Yukon to take a picture of something for one of the members here. I swear, I get sand in my eyes when I never got closer than 6” from anything….

Filled up with Mobil/Exxon Supreme+ 93 octane for $3.49 a gallon. The Denali is getting 15mpg on this, so .23 cents per mile. The station has E85 for $2.45 a gallon, but it only gets between 11-12mpg on that so about .20 cents per mile. A wee bit cheaper but the wife likes to be able to go ~450 miles before having to fill up as opposed to ~350

Uh, that sucks. Didn't you have a similar problem with the previous engine?

Ah shoot.

Sorry I missed the bad news first time though.

You are a better man than I, I would be fit to be tied right now.

No, the shirt isn't splotchy. My mirror is filthy. It's just THAT accurate when reflecting its subjects.

If only there were a way to clean mirrors… like some sort of solution you could apply and then when you remove it the mirror would be clean?… man we could be rich if we could figure it out…

I have a great way to clean mirrors, but she's been too busy making me the sammiches I consistently earn.

Any photos of your before and after?

Yes - now. Sorry for the delay. Finally remembered to get a couple of shots of the installed Dashskin yesterday on my way to work.
