Setting up my tech2. I’m drilling down through the vehicle options, Chevrolet, MPV, then it asks N200 or N300.
um Kay. Not sure what that means.
Not sure, mine didn't ask that. Maybe pick one and see where it takes you?

I was gonna say not MPV but I see you figured it out. Anytime you find yourself in a place with the Tech2 that doesn’t look right or the choices don’t match, just back up and see where you went wrong.Okay, not MPV, backed out and found the right option.

I just experimented till I figured it out. Like kids do with electronics only I’m no kid lol.I had to watch some youtube videos to learn how to even connect to my hoe.
it's not an easy "auto detect" like a modern code reader does.

I kind of did the same thing, except it was me directing my 14 yr son as he backed up his truck with a trailer behind it.I'm a large and slightly overweight child.
I just finished playing with my radio control car in front of my house...

Well, he was probably stomping on an imaginary brake pedal and turning an imaginary steering wheel as his kid was backing up. Might have been fun to watch.Sounds totally different.![]()

I was standing in the middle of the cul-de-sac yelling commands to him.Well, he was probably stomping on an imaginary brake pedal and turning an imaginary steering wheel as his kid was backing up. Might have been fun to watch.![]()

It’s, what, 30-40 years old? Of course it’s primitive. Think back to when it was designed, what our electronics were like.I have to say, when playing around with my Tech 2, it is one giant primitive hunk of scan tool.
You could put all the code in a smart phone app to talk to a wireless dongle in the OD port. Do a little AI and it would tell you everything without much interaction, all you would need is the source code and everything would get real small and simple.

I remember being that kid. It was my grandpa watching me in his truck.I kind of did the same thing, except it was me directing my 14 yr son as he backed up his truck with a trailer behind it.
