I'm trying! Been doing 60hrs a week since July, and they started this 6 days crap after Thanksgiving. I'll be alright, trying to give all my time to the family.Yeah, we are so short staffed it's not even funny. People used to sit in a hiring pool for years to work at this place, now we can't keep people to just drive a forklift for $25hr to start. It will at least be 6months before they cut back hours.

I'll be ok, I've paid off 15k in debt in the past 6 months because of working so much, so I'm not mad. Now saving up to buy some land/woods for a cabin, so I can get the hell away from everything when work slows.

I'll be alright, just coerce the family with gifts and the little time I have.

On a better note, I went and looked at the light and found the problem. It was a loose wire on the connection between the two plugs. The green wire was pulled out for some reason.

It's all fixed and working now, I messed with it and jiggled the wires around to make sure.

Thanks for the harassment gents and now to try and cancel the order for the other lights! View attachment 270237View attachment 270238

Its a bunch of horse dodo is what it is. Haha. I cant wait til the kids are done with school and we can move somewhere where snow wont be an issue

I second that one. Antigua sounds nice, need 4 palm trees, 2 for each hammock. One for the wife one for me, a metal bucket with ice and an endless supply of adult beverages, wait think I dreamt that, ahh crap reality sucks

Just checked the maintenance tab on the Carfax website and noticed that my old '02 Suburban is still listed there. I sold it to my ex girlfriend's mother-in-law in 2018 (she knew how I maintained my stuff) and she drove it to Ohio from Colorado. It had 226K on the clock when I sold it and it looks like it's still going strong with 265K as of 11/2020. Nice to know.

I finally installed my Go Rhino push bar model 5160 along with a set of Hella lights and a 32” light bar on the front of my truck. Pics in a day or two, it’s currently covered in salt and snow with the nor’easter rolling in here today/ tomorrow.

Was fortunate enough to re use the upfitters wiring in the truck to power all the lights. Last set will have to be independently wired, I have no wiring to the stock fog light area.

On order is the leather steering wheel with the radio controls and cruise. My wheel is shot.
Do you have any pics of the attachment points? I’m assuming this replaces the factory recovery hooks.
I’m trying to see if it’s solid enough, or has provisions to attach a tow strap.

I was not trying to spoil your process, but just proving some useful insight/intel.

Yeah, i appreciate it.
Wife had me worn down pretty good.
Gave me a reason to look deeper at this thing.

Hard part is with these fkn midsize suv things... lol

I got her to actually accept the idea of something slightly older than what she had in her mind, and most importantly, the tech-2 is compatible!

This thing really is nice, and i believe the seller when he said totally trouble free for him.

Like all of the little thing i noticed about the ad fell into place.

One being the ad had to be the most lazy pos i had ever seen.
Didn't even list the sun roof.

Ad suddenly popped in there while the wife was showing me how much she liked them

Lowish miles, and one of the pictures hinted at a sun roof.
The number one thing the wife has beat me up on about her last car after we dumped that pos landrover.

I gave the seller a little laugh at the lack of effort he put into the ad.
He just laughed and said he actually didn't want to sell it.
But he had just bought a new truck and the wife wanted the parking spot it had.

Fell perfectly in line with what i saw.
I never picked up even one hint of a lie or half truth from the guy.

So here is hoping it's a good one.

Also, gm went so far out of their way to make the engine bay pretty it's ridiculous.

The battery is in the middle of the car... lol
Trim around the engine bay has to be removed to check the coolant level.
They used body clips that require a tool to hold it down.

Wth lol

Oh and afterwards, the wife looked at the escalade i was pointing out to her.
She said "wait i could have had an escalade?!"

Me: :boxed:

The escalade was a 2011, 175k on it.
11k

It even had the pearl paint job.

*sigh*

No sunroof, so I'm pretty sure she was messing with me.

Edit: found the ad again, it does have a sunroof!!

Whilst i was at the DMV, I got a couple bills of sale for my wifes old car.
Plan is to gift it to the wifes little sister.
Her new boyfriend lacks a car...

So i ask the nice lady at the DMV.
"What's the proper way to list the price if i'm giving the car away?"
"List $1, or "Sandwich" in the price?

I crack me up. :anitoof:
Answer of course is to put in "Gift"

That old car of hers, like 250hp.
and can do 30mpg on the highway.

She is sure going to notice the difference with an AWD Suv me thinks. :jester:

Not sure if it differs from state to state but in some states if you put "Gift" they will charge tax on the market/"Blue Book" value of the vehicle. Just something to check in to.
