Good to know! Was planning to finally clean my TB (1st time in 13 years! Haha) and was going to track down the IAC valve to clean also.

When i was cleaning up the intake i was wondering where the F the IAC is.
Usually I like to take it apart and detail clean the lil motor.
I kind of assumed that with the throttle by wire it regulated that way...
And apparently it does!
I would have also confused the F out of my self had i cleaned the throttle body earlier.

And while I’m here, I added a new longer dipstick and changed the 710 cap.

I don't see any listings for it unless you want used, but being it's a one time use...
Doing some searching you might be able to find some new old stock somewhere.
(grabbed it hoping it said "710" on it for lols with the wife, nope!)

Speaking of caps, does anyone know for sure what is the part number and/or source for the GMT900 yellow FlexFuel filler cap? I recall someone trying to get a replacement but GM changed the design but kept it under the original part number and it doesn't work or some kinda mess like that. I see pics online of what appear to be the correct one but stock photos don't mean anything to me.

It looks like the different caps were for the later GMT900s. If this fit your '09, it should fit mine.

The longer dipstick worked. The engine was pulling very nicely up to 5,000 rpm while manually shifted.
yes another valid point.
understood my good man. I’d like to get the gruven too and support the guys just sometimes the money isn’t there. We’ll see what happens when the time comes. No decision made yet but nice to have options.
