First highway trip in our Tahoe. I don't get to drive it much. The wifey uses it. 1300km on it since Sept 30th.

Washed the Tahoe and used some tire shine too.

Also removed side markers and tinted them with Laminx film. Should come from the factory like this.

Mind sharing the steps to access, remove, and reinstall the side marker. I see the wheel well liner is attached with a few screws. Just don't know how complicated its going to get after that.

Checked my catch can only after 4 days and 200 miles of driving, not expecting to find much of anything. To my surprise there was quite a bit of oil in there for how little time it was installed. I'd guess about 3-4ml of oil. Much better to have it caught in the can than to get sucked into the intake!

What part number is the catch can? Don’t see any for a ‘21.

Installed an Elite Engineering catch can. They are absolutely essential to long-term valve cleanliness. I have always used them on everything, but when I looked down the throttle body of my 2018 with 1500 miles and saw oil pooled up in the cavities, I learned not to waste any time installing them after that revelation.

I modded the catch can to make it more effective by adding a layer of polyester fill as well. Note that I also put the CC on the opposite side of the coolant reservoir than the instructions. I trimmed off a little of the plastic ridge so it would fit flush and it was a more solid mount in my opinion. Their bracket is about an inch longer than it would optimally be, but it will get the job done.

Added an always on 12v cigarette lighter plug. Pull the tunnel panel off on the passenger's side and the orange/yellow is hot.

Scheduled the road trip down to Criswell to trade in my 2018 Tahoe LT on a 2021 Z71. I buy all of my Vettes there too.

Loving the New Yukon. Added front 20% Tint and Windshield 80%. Installed 1.5" spacers on the wheels. Love the look, but this is the first time I've used a spacer and it scares the crap out of me. Slight rub at full turn.

McKees 37 Ceramic Coating
Wash / Iron Remover / Clay Bar / Full Polish (one stage since it was brand new) / ceramic coating
My first ceramic coating and it is far superior in beading water shedding than Ziano / Wolfgang Paint Sealant which were my prior go to... very easy to apply...

Those mats fit a lot better than my Weather Techs.

they fit really good except the drivers side is a bit off by the dead pedal... I’m not that impressed with the cargo mat either... but overall the material is great, color match is great and fit is really good.

Here are a few more pictures. Last thing is 2 roku stick + with 90 degree HDMI and usb C adapters. This was the cleanest solution I could come up with for steaming and airplay 2 compatibility. I wish there was a way to hide them; but with the sliding console this was the best I could think of... you can see them in the last picture.

Looks great. What is that a storage area there where the hood latch is? Or like a tool bin for when you work on it or stuff?

Wow that radiator looks really pushed back there, and the engine further under the firewall lip?

Looks like still has plastic heater hose fittings at the firewall? But easier to get to it looks like?

Got a link for your USB C adapters? I have everything but those. Gotta get it all wired up so we can go to Disney next week LOL.

I did have some stuff sitting in there while I was working on it... haha. The bottom of that area is vented to the area in front of the radiator so you wouldn’t want to put anything small in there or it would fall though. It may be something to do with the active aero shutters which I think are only on the 5.3L?
