Lucky he didn't blow the trans.
I think that didn't happen because he has a true cool trans cooler also. Which I still don't understand why he still used the radiator trans cooler too. Could've just bypassed it, maybe avoided this whole mess

Anybody have any leaking issues with this mishimoto radiator? My friend got one for his 09 Yukon and it started leaking trans fluid internally and it mixed with the coolant. Then mishimoto wouldn't give him a refund, only offered to send him a replacement. Seems very strange. I think he's getting the replacement btw, so if anybody is interested and wants to take a chance send me a pm

Nope.. No issues at all. It's really a thing of beauty

This is one that I was looking at... I have k ow personal experience with it though so take it for what its worth.

Radiator 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe Lt - 5.3 Liter V8 325Cid Radiator All Aluminum 3 Row Desert Cooler With 2 Coolers, 3 | Radiator Express
https://www.radiatorexpress.com/product/radiator/chevrolet/2012/tahoe/lt/53l-v8/222920/c501366#

This is another one they carry...
Radiator 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe Lt - 5.3 Liter V8 325Cid Radiator Wide Tube, 34 Inch Core, 2 Coolers | Radiator Express
https://www.radiatorexpress.com/pro...oe/lt/53l-v8/224117/c501366#vehiclefitmenttab

It has wider tubes and they claim it cools better than a 3 row radiator.
Wider 2 row is better than 3 row in general.

So either my Mishimoto is cracked already or this residual coolant hanging around from doing my engine swap is taking days to burn off....

Getting a consistent coolant smell and the hoses are dry. I see orange stains on the radiator, but I did do an engine swap and coolant did spill all over it.

Cold Case is the way to go. I had both, brand new in my garage. The Cold Case is what went in. In either case, it's not a drop in. The thicker core requires things like trimming back flanges on the fan shroud, adding sealing foam, etc.

Just make sure you put a restriction in the small hose that goes from the top to the radiator to the surge tank. The flow through this hose bypasses the thermostat, and is like having a half open thermostat all the time. Factory radiators have only a very small hole feeding that upper hose connection.
