Probably will be a while. When I do put the cam in I'm going to completely rebuild the motor because of the amount of miles on it

Miles? Pfft. 200K on mine and been beating on it since 146K. Cammed it, raised the compression and am now beating on it harder. There's only one way to find its limits...

Let the engine idle while I hit it with a flap disc (also radiused the edge just cuz):

Then a wire wheel to clean up the rest of it:

Then some black paint:

With engine stopped. It'll look better once the paint dries and loses the gloss and it gets as dirty as the other pulleys:
