Removed > disassembled > cleaned > reinstalled the rear window switches... now they work going up AND down again.

Previously my kids could roll them down but not up or vice versa, can't remember off the top of my head... but they work now... saved myself $16 by not buying new ones.
Maybe $16 for cheap aftermarket ones, ACDelco switches are more like $40 iirc. Good job.

I was just going off of the price on Ebay for the switches that James @swathdiver said was made by the same factory as the OEM... so if its $40, all the better.

After getting taken on those "AC DELCO IRIDIUM" plugs from Ebay, I am sceptical of everything on Ebay... lol

Did you see my post about those plugs?

The window switches are/were about $20 for ACDelco or $8 in a white box from the same factory. Same exact markings, feel, textures, etc.

Same for the AC Actuators. $45 instead of $75 plus. To avoid the fake plugs on ebay, I made sure they were 41-985s, the old number from when the truck was new. The shelf wear on the box helped too.

Yep. I’ve seen the ACDelco plugs on EBay for 1/4 to 1/2 the price of other ACDelco plugs and assumed they were fake. I would assume those cheap switches are fake too. I bought one that I knew was aftermarket for about $12-14 and it lasted a couple months. That’s when I learned about cleaning them. Luckily I had kept the original ACDelco one and cleaned it and it’s been working for over a year now. I tried cleaning the cheap one but it still didn’t work.

Grateful for my rear rubber mat in back, milk fell over and the mat slots caught most of it, rest went into the channel under the rear back sill plate made for a relatively easy clean up, rinsed right off.

Nice, where did you get the grill from?

I'd like to blacken mine, but then I'd probably have to get rid of the rest of the chome on the vehicle... Lol

Amazon, where else?!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L8V34FL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I like it much better than the factory one. Easy to install. I'm not big on chrome, which is why i bought this. Still need to get black vinyl for the hood trim.

That switch is for my airhorn to wake up assholes on their phones
I didn't see the little one, that's a good place also I just want to use a bump switch and then I can wire it to the buzzer portion of the police unit, I have the speaker but it's pretty big and heavy like 40lbs I have been sort of looking around for a more reasonably sized one that I can fit behind the front grill on the bumper

I forgot about that hood strip. I'm sure someone makes them in black chrome.

Does the lower have the license plate mounting provisions?
