We got a dusting of snow this morning but it melted off. I was just doing some painting in my garage tonight and plugged in my electric heater. My daughter then started making dinner and when she turned on too many appliances, the breaker blew so I had to make the hard choice between dinner and a warm garage. Guess which won lol.

Imagine trying to do car work in an uninsulated garage with this sh*t:

The good news is that Northern Tools is selling a 11’ drywall lift for $115 shipped!

https://m.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200774033_200774033
(Don’t forget to apply the free shipping code). I added an Ingersoll Rand shallow impact socket set for $28 too.
I’ll need this when I do my 10’ ceilings with 5/8 fire rated drywall. It’s about time for some dang insulation. I’m sick of working at the mercy of my 60k btu propane tube heater and my 40lb tank.

I supervised while my oldest son swapped the driver side valve cover out for the new revised valve cover, that I got from @iamdub, that relocates the inlet hole for the PCV system.

I wanted to paint both valve covers with the red wrinkle paint by VHT but none of my local parts houses carry it in stock so I just had him install it as is.

This is a comparison shot of the older style valve cover on the bottom and the new revised valve cover on the top.

This is just a pic of what the top of the head looks like.

Pretty dang clean for having almost 250k miles on the ol' girl and running 13k-15k mile OCIs if I do say so myself.

I wish it was legal to do that here. We can only have the top few inches (to that AS1 symbol)

Should I be able to tell if I have the old cover by looking at it from the top side?

No, I don't think so.

With the coils in place you can't see much of the top of the valve cover anyway and if you remove the coils to see anything then your already the majority of the way to having the VC off, 4 more bolts and its off... lol

Removing the old and installing the new only took about 20 minutes.

I got pulled over 2 weeks ago for speeding. Forgot to pull down the radar detector and there was a nitrous bottle between me and the cop. Got off with a warning for doing 90 in a 65. The brow was too low and I don’t think they care
