That happened to me on my 2007. Drilled a hole in the bracket and put a zip tie around it. Worked just fine.Dipstick bracket repair. Been doing it’s job for two years now.

Okay that was on 11/20. Today I went to refill the washer fluid to stop the Master Caution warning message in the cockpit. I noticed that the “sight glass” in my catch can (16oz?) was past the halfway mark. I put this coffee can under it and was shocked to see crystal clear water flowing out and then an emulsion at the end (the oil floats to the top...). Holy moly this is crazy!
So basically I’m getting like 8-10oz of water being “caught” every month/3,000 miles. Where does this water go if I didn’t have the catch can??? Is the catch can system trapping the water from venting into atmosphere? (Am I better without it?)

Water/condensation is caught in any container with airspace. Inside the crank case of the engine, in your axles, your catch can, etc. its part of the reason steam comes out of your tailpipe in the morning. Gotta blow all the condensation out of the muffler, the cats, etc.
In the engine the moisture in the crank case will evaporate and run thru the PCV system. Thats why you’re catching so much in the can. Also why on higher milage older vehicles you see some of that same funk on the bottom inside of the oil cap. The oil cap is the highest part of the system, so water and oil vapor collects there.
if you didnt have the catch can, those vapors would run thru the intake and out the tail pipe. Not really a big deal but i’m sure the engine will be happier with the can.

I drive about 3000-3100 miles a month to work and home; 130 miles round trip. I live in the great white North; it has been -15 to +32 (yesterday). I have noticed a lot more water since it has been so cold out.

As Ken and Allen mentioned, it's condensation from your crankcase. I never have any, but I'm in a totally different environment than you. A few months back, @CHOO CHOO posted similar catch can results and he's in PA. So, I guess it's cold enough up there that your crankcase air never gets warm enough to steam off the water, even when running the engine for so long. Also, you guys use a different blend of fuel during the winter months and that may contribute to the extra moisture as well.
The moisture itself is absolutely harmless. The oil in that air is the problem and that is why you need the catch can.
Yesterday would have been super entertaining, I got so pissed off and used every cuss word in the book, 10 times each. By the time I edited all the cussing out there would have been about 2 minutes of video, on what NOT to do.

It was almost 70* today...on Christmas....in the Midwest.....I got to wear shorts....so I washed the Tahoe and wifey's Equinox. Man there is alot of body panel surface area to wipe when washing.

I’m with you. Weather is crazy warm for this time of year. Up here in Iowa, only got to low 60’s, but it was more like a nice spring day and not Christmas. Had all the windows open while we entertained part of my wife’s family for lunch.
Not quite sure that’s what’s going on.

for the most part true but theres been some weird summer weather here, my wife's birthday is in july and there was one year the high was barely in the 50s

Hope everybody had a good Christmas! Tahoe did fabulous with the light dusting of snow that we got on the road trip to Bend and back. Lowest temp we saw was 25 on the pass. The worst part was driving at twilight at around 5, with the wet roads and that weird in between time makes it so that its hard to see shit because your eyes are still adjusted to daylight, and the dark color of the moisture on the road absorbs the light from the bulbs. I think its time to look into a baja style light mount and some round off road lights.
