Not sure. I set a number but i mean I dont have a freezer thermometer sitting in the console to know what cabin temp is. I always figured ‘60’ was all the way in the blue on old style HVAC controls and ‘90’ was all the way in the red. The change in the sun going behind the clouds will effect how hot it feels in the cabin more than it will the outside air temp changing 3 degrees.
You mean inside temp? The aspirator is the inside ambient temp sensor. Your outside ambient temp sensor is on the radiator core support. If I’m not mistaken, the system uses the inside temp to decide what temp the air is heated or cooled to no matter what setting the fan is at on manual, and on auto it adjusts fan speed and outlet temp as well so it can maintain defrost/ fogging. If more air is needed to keep the windows from fogging it lowers or raises that temp so the interior maintains what temp it’s set at no matter how much air volume is pushing through.

the blower fan sucks air from outside is what my logic behind that was

I've never liked roof boxes, but I also don't have kids.

We had a big vacation planned once, camping for eight days about 4-5 hours away with friends. I saw how much the roof storage killed mileage and how difficult for me it would be to access the contents so looked into platform for rear hitch. My wife and kids kept adding stuff, bikes, extra tents, camp kitchen, etc. In the end we rented a u-haul trailer and pulled that. Pontiac drove like it wasn't even back there and we used it for storage at camp site which was great. Had 1/2 cord of firewood delivered and we stored it in there too.

My GF and I will eventually be getting a travel trailer. I’m thinking a 26ish foot airstream, or a 8.5 by 26 high roof car hauler converted to a camper if you wanna be more sneaky

I'll see where the next tank of gas gets me with this. Thing is so big, I need to find a spot in the garage to hide it.. otherwise it will be a permanent fixture. Which could be OK, a place for strollers, go bag, extra kids...

I bought a Thule Evolution that I picked up for $50 at a garage sale a few years ago. Thing holds a ton!

Actually didn’t drop MPG as much as I would have expected. Maybe 2-3 MPG.

Storing can be a challenge so put in a hoist system above my garage door.

This was the Thule Motion XT XXL ($800 new) with upgraded key system and a hoist system still in box for $350. It was a no brainer! The Yakima was nice this last trip but still just a little bit more room would be appreciated. The extra 4 cubic feet should do nicely.

My garage is small but I need to find a way to store this. I don't mind it up top but if I can stash it I will.

Now I need to sell this Yakima Skybox 18.

Don't forget, 200lb limit on the roof rack

2001 Yukon SLT
2012 Yukon Denali XL
2011 Yukon Denali RIP 5/20/18

Thanks. Not making Home Depot runs with it. Just luggage of clothes, jackets and an umbrella stroller or two. Besides, once you get going, the little bit of lift it can create really lightens the load :) .

I am so glad I am past the umbrella stroller stage with my kids.
