I was wondering why the spacers I ordered had yet to arrive in the mail. Turns out they don't actually stock the spacers. So when you order them from Bora, you get put in the que at the back of the line, and then they have to machine them, then they get shipped. Damnit. So I ordererd them on the 26th, and they will be done being made around the 18th, then 3-5 day shipping. Lotta time for a set of four 1/4" spacers... :/

I added a subwoofer so I just needed to disable the Bose ANC, but otherwise yes works great, actually disabling the ANC woke the system up and made it sound better.
Wait- how do you disable the active noise canceling? and can you retain the factory bose speakers with an aftermarket head unit?

I didn’t use any hose clamps on my catch can install. All of the barb fittings seems super duper snug on the 3/8 hose- and the OE pcv system doesn’t use any?

There's no real pressure in there so a tight fit will be fine. I think two of my connections are "press fit". It's a cleaner look, anyway.

I know it's something super easy like unplugging a mic or something. Wes will fill you in but my main reason for replying is to say you can retain the Bose system with an aftermarket HU. The HU, stock or aftermarket, sends a signal to the Bose amp and the Bose amp does the rest. It's a little more complicated than that with the warning tones, etc., but that's the gist. This is why our rigs need specific interfaces/adapters depending on the features we have. As far as running the Bose speakers directly off an aftermarket HU, not likely. They have odd impedences (2.x, I think) and most HUs require 4 ohm. If you were so inclined, you could run the Bose speakers off an aftermarket amp if it's stable at the ohm load.

I, for one, think the Bose system sounds pretty good for a factory setup. I have a Pioneer HU and the extra sound adjustment from the 13-band EQ let me tweak it more to my liking. I still plan to swap out the speakers and run them on Alpine amps, but I'm no hurry because I'm content enough for now.

Yeah if I can get an aftermarket head unit to send signal to stop amp, that would be perfect. Especially if I can get rid of ANC before that. I didn’t even know the vehicle had it. No wonder my grandpa was always like ‘wow this thing is so quiet’ every time we’d go somewhere.

I'm sure it's like mine and you have a few options. After running an Axxess GMOS-LAN02 and a PAC C2R-GM29 (I think that's the model), I prefer the PAC. I have a PAC RP5-GM11 (or 31?) that I'll switch to eventually. If I had the funds for it, I'd get the iDatalink Maestro.

I’ll have to look into it more. Just have to solve this coil whine issue. I have a hum when I unplug my phone from the aux cord.

So it is mic wires you cut? How does one tell if they have ANC? Was it only on the system that has the center dash speaker?

Yes... I believe it was only on the Bose Luxury Amp.

As for these two qoutes I’m not sure what its on vs what its not on. I have an 07 that doesnt have the usb port in console or a center center channel speaker.
Edit: but it is an LTZ with Bose audio and Nav...

And what about RSE?
works, the maestro rr interface works with everything, rse, swc, bose fade & surround effects, rap, onstar, plus it connects to the obd port and tells you what the code is if the check engine light comes on, tire pressure monitor, door ajar. the only thing it does not do that the original radio did is give you a warning on the screen that the fuel is low, it still tells you in the DIC though of course and I would guess that Idatalink could probably add that feature in if you asked nice enough (maybe), they can customize the firmware upon request.

Does your mental archive have insight as to why i haven’t got a center channel or if I have ANC or not with my oddball of an 07?

if you have the 3 microphones in the headliner you have ANC, there are 3 of them, they look identical to the climate monitor above the driver (the one that everybody thinks is a bt mic but it's not) the bluetooth mic is up by the mirror in the plastic trim that has the homelink buttons

anc was only on higher trim levels like the escalade, denali and ltz as far as I know, I am not sure what year they added it.
