Driving by myself.

That wire handle on the back hangs nicely on the steering wheel when going straight! Mine used to spend a lot of time there after I first got it.

My Tech2 shows an option for the spare on the TPMS menu, and it was active on mine.

Learn something new everyday, now is that on a NBS or NNBS?

What exactly does a Trans Relearn do, and how long does it usually take for it to learn?

SERVICE FAST LEARN ADAPTS

Service Fast Learn Adapts is a procedure for 6 speed automatic transmissions in which a series of tests are run to allow the transmission control module (TCM) to learn individual clutch characteristics. Once the clutch data is learned, Service Fast Learn Adapts translates it into the adaptive data cells, which the TCM uses for clutch control during shifts. The scan tool provides initiation of the Service Fast Learn Adapts procedure. This procedure is to be used following transmission repair.

The Service Fast Learn Adapts procedure must be performed when one of the following repairs have been made to the vehicle. Failure to perform the procedure after one of the following repairs may result in poor transmission performance, as well as transmission DTCs being set:

 Transmission internal service/overhaul
 Valve body repair or replacement
 Control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly replacement
 TCM software/calibration update
 Any service in response to a shift quality concern

Justin @BlackBearPerf did it to mine twice during the tune and it made for some freaky feeling 1-2 shifts, like a long slide into 2nd.

SPS programming updates on 2007+ vehicles via pass-thru mode....

I know TIS2Web is a subscription service, but are you able to see if there are updates before buying the subscription?

Well, TIS2WEB shows you what's available for your VIN and then you go to ACDelco's TDS website to get the actual data. I guess you could compare the part numbers of the programs you can pull up in your truck through the Tech-2 to that which is shown on TIS2WEB, I don't fully get it 100% myself as I haven't used it yet, just poked around and am a slow learner.

yes, there is a tool to put in your vin and then compare those to the existing calibrations

so to follow up on this sort of, I have been using the vxdiag and a hacked version of GDS2, I could finally get the gds2 software to run but it would show the vxdiag as "not supported by gm" so after screwing around with that trying to get it to work I bought one of the clone MDI2 from chinacardiag, FINALLY after spending another hour trying different things I discovered the vxdiag device has to be plugged into the tablet via usb, then I have to open the gds2 software, if the vxdiag is not connected gds2 wont run and it just errors out, so once the vxdiag is plugged in and gds2 is started I can unplug the vxdiag and plug in the clone mdi2, it gives me a small error that i can ignore and walla! it works with my 2018 :):):) nice because gds2 cost like $795 a year otherwise and even a 3day subscription is like $70, this hacked version has like 9750 days on it. I am able to run all the diagnostics just like a tech2 can on the older vehicles, all the vehicles went to gds2 in 2014.
**and it didn't cost me $1000+ (only $400 all together, lol, $100 for the tablet, vxdiag was $135, $185 for the mdi2)
