Gonna sound weird, but put your remote under your chin, right against it, and push the button like that. Coworker told me about it once and it works. Much farther distance.
So honestly--I know some people have tried this. Worked for you?

No shit, between that and exhaust tips you'd have an obstacle course to deal with when getting into the cargo area!
I used one of those little brake light adapters that goes into the tongue hole before, man I hit my shins on that all the dam time finally hit it one day and broke it, no more! done

Back in high school when I carried out groceries, I can’t tell you how many dents I put into my chins with trailer hitches people had on the backs of their Buick Estate Wagons or Ford LTD’s

I’ve always had a hitch on the back of my vehicle and always knew to look out for it. What screwed with me going from a pickup to an SUV is hitting my head on the liftgate. Bet your left nut this thing is gonna get lifted an inch or two when the Z55 gives out.
