BDS 4" kits work with Yukon Denali Magneride? mixed answers...

4inch BDS 2018 yukon denali. One shop says yes, other shop says no, BDS says only if magneride is both front and back.. and not auto-ride in front and magneride in rear (which sounds even more confusing)... any guidance would be appreciated!!

I was told by BDS it does not work with the MRC suspension like what is on the Denali, but does work with the Autoride like that is on the Tahoe/Yukon with HD trailering package.

Oh man that's too bad. I wanted to get that setup on my 2018 Yukon Denali XL with Magneride. Now I'm looking at other options and was looking at the Fabtech 4" lift, but read on another post that the front is lower than the rear.

Will this ReadyLift work with Magneride?

I was told by BDS over the phone and in email yesterday "some denali have autoride in rear and magneride in front, which will not work. But if it is magneride all the way around they can make it work even though they don't have an actual kit for this"

I've never heard of half autoride half magenride?! anyhow just picked up my 18 yukon denali and dealer said it's full magneride and never heard of the half magneride

I think if you have the HD trailering package, then you will have magnetic and auto level ride in the rear, at least that is the way I understand it

I have been looking into this for some time and what I have gathered is that you have to mix and match a bit to get it to work. For example, the BDS kit does not come with shock extenders to allow you to use the factory shocks with a lift, so you would have to add something like these Ready lift shock extenders. You will also need to add a relocating bracket for your magnetic ride sensors to correct the angle and not set off codes. I have a shop near me that says they have done a few 4" and 6" lifts on 15+ Denali's with MRC and that is how they do it. I wish the lift companies saw enough of a market to make a complete kit for those of us who don't want to rip out MRC but want more altitude for larger tires and a more aggressive look without a strong desire to hardcore offroad. BDS does make a kit for MRC equipped GMC Denali pickups.

I've researched it to the point where I'm looking at another option for a 4" lift because the BDS kit replaces the steering knuckle and increases track width causing the front tires to stick out further than the rear unless you add wheel spacers in the rear. Add that to the increase in track width with aftermarket wheels, and you end up with your wheels sticking out by 2" or more past the fender and I'm not sure I want that wide of a stance.

BDS 4" kit will not work with MAG Ride Denali's unless you make custom brackets for ride links. The kit they have available is only for SLT with auto air ride, not mag ride. I went with the Fabtech 4" mag ride kit. Looks great but not the best ride quality. We are now looking into BDS 4", with Fox coilovers and rear shocks, ditching the MAg Ride with the Xineering kit to bypass.

I have been dealing with, researching and agonizing over the Magneride suspension on my 2015 Tahoe LTZ (with max towing package) since purchase date in April 2018. My Tahoe, as with many others I have read about here on the forum, rides extremely rough in the rear, so much so that adults refuse to sit in the 3rd row.

This is the family hauler and daily driver, but I live in Maine and I enjoy getting off the beaten path. My original goal was to lift the truck 4", but research showed that was a challenge, and an expensive one at that. In the end, BDS Suspension is the ONLY company I came across that provides the 4" lift; however, other posts have highlighted the "CHALLENGES" with installing the 4" BDS kit. All in all, more $ spent on getting just a few extra inches and NOT much tire size increase. PLUS, the BDS kit would maintain the factory shocks unless you spend more $ on purchase the front Fox 2.5 reservoir coilovers. Great, but overkill for my setup and probably most rides in general.

SO - where was I left. Leveling the Tahoe. SuspensionMaxx 2.5 Adjustable front kit w/MRC delete, right? 1" coil spacer in back also available with the MRC delete bracket. However, I'm still left with my stock shocks and HORRIBLE rear ride, just up in the air more. Here comes our saving grace, the man with the magic, Max @Xineering.com. Max has developed the GM Shock Simulator, or "Magneride delete" circuitry that literally tells the onboard computer that the Magneride (and AirRide if applicable) is functioning properly. This circuitry allows the driver to install ANY TAHOE COMPATIBLE REAR AND FRONT SHOCK/STRUT/COIL SETUP THEY CHOOSE. In other words, this product gives LTZ and magneride owners the opportunity to convert to a passive suspension system.

Currently, my circuits are shipped and on their way from Xineering's headquarters in Orlando. Once the MRC delete is in place, I am adding the Bilstein B8 5100 rear shocks, 1" rear coil spacer, z71 OEM off-road rear coil spring, and front Fox 2.0 IFP coilovers at 2" ride height. Once I see where the Tahoe sits, new tires are going on. I'm still debating on wheels, I would like to keep my OEM wheels, but the desire for a larger tire and no rubbing may demand new wheels. Also, I am currently sitting on 20" and I think an 18" wheel would provide a better ride as well as improved off road performance.

I will be creating a new thread on my entire MRC delete project once it is underway. Please watch this thread and I will make sure to add a link to my project thread.
