Thanks, she feels very strong. I timed 0-60 at around 6.9. Many people said I wouldn’t notice a 50 shot... I definitely know it’s there. Hesitant to go with the 100 until I have a backup truck since I still have a 4L60....
Gotta baby that trans. I blew mine the 1st time after getting my 6.0 messing with an Acura. I beat him, slowed down and then.....nothing lol.

Lol hoping the window switch will help. I’ll be swapping to a 4L80 when it goes, but I need to have my C10 up and running before going too crazy. When the C10 is drivable I’ll be adding the LSA blower + cam + pulley. Should get interesting...

What is this sorcery? I’d like to do the same with my Redline
he's using a Blend mount, it mounts to the mirror and then you can buy a power plug and run power from the mirror also.

So much cleaner than my big ugly cord swinging all over the place.
ya it's much better, I never have to worry about if I turned it on or off, if the key is on the radar is on, been using blend mount since they first came out like 15 years ago, in fact it's the same one I bought then the price has more than doubled since

I'm extremely late to the party haha. I guess there aren't to many of us that went the turbo route huh. I haven't done much with mine lately aside from local test and tune in which I ran a 9.2 at 80 mph. Stock converter doesn't allow me to 60' anything out of the 2 range :disgust:. Part of me wants to do a mildly built 60 with a converter for the ease of just taking the old one out and installing the new one but I recently bought a vette and have started messing with that.

@ibfreeman88 you're up.

As 50% representation of turbos on here make us proud

late to the party here about checking oil.

i thought this was a good read. https://mechanics.stackexchange.com...-when-there-is-not-enough-oil-in-a-car-engine

personally i think its irresponsible. I'm sure GM added all these warnings and electronic features for people like you ( not bashing you, just didn't know how else to word it). im sure there were ppl that were running their cars dry and gm got tire of being sued or having to deal with warranty claims for catastrophic failures that could have been prevented. my truck has all these sensors that i don't trust 100%. i still check my tire pressure manually every now and then and i check my oil about once every month.

let me ask you this and i don't know if it was brought up. do you check transmission fluid? im not even sure if there's a dummy light for that.

in the end its your truck, you can do what you want as you have and im not affected by it lol truck looks great btw

I know the transmission has been serviced since I've owned it. Honestly don't remember what was done.
And I don't take offense to the way you worded it. I'm an avg everyday driver. I don't usually check these things unless a light pops up. The majority of people don't I would assume, but I'm assuming and ya know what they say about that.

I do check my tire pressure probably monthly.
My tp sensors are shot on certain wheels so I just let it go, the light doesn't bother me. The low profile tires make me worried with how bad the roads are. Constant construction around here.

I'll own the truck until it's dead, now whether that's in 50k or 100k, I don't know [emoji23].

I'm not really mechanically inclined, I can do the basics of changing oil, brakes and rotors, etc. I don't mind trying things, but it's my daily, so I can't experiment too much as I still need to get to work.

Like you said, in the end, it's my truck and my money, it doesn't effect anyone else.

After all the dipstick talk this week, i just had to check my oil, even though i changed it 1k miles ago. It was 3/4 QT low!!! I have owned this Tahoe for 2 years and it has only ever been 1/2 QT low at the oil change interval. I noticed the breather hose attached to my Airraid tube has oil all around it, which wasn't there before. I am thinking its PCV related. I know the 5.3 had an updated drivers side valve cover for oil in the intake, but isn't that just for AFM engines, not the L9H that I have?

Checked the oil level in my express van yesterday. Oil pressure was good, no oil light or anything else, it's low at least 1 qt--maybe qt 1/2. So when that light comes on it's REALLY LOW. Not bashing, just wanted to share :2cents:

Door lock actuator was acting up this morning and trapped me inside. Neither handle worked. Pulled up to the house and my wife opened the door like normal! Go figure! Then it acted up again so she knows I'm not cray cray! Unlock the doors, open, and then striker hits the latch in down position unless I manually move it up some more. Will take it apart soon and see what's up inside.

Anyone running E30? I'm getting better gas mileage on E30 than 93 octane gasoline when it is between 18-22% alcohol content.

Maybe. But I don't see what the hole in the baffle on the underside of the valve cover has to do with AFM or not. As I understand it, the hole was originally located directly (or close enough) above one of the rockers and the pressurized oil shooting from the push rod end at higher RPM (higher oil pressure) would splash into the hole. This whole area has nothing to do with AFM. I could be mistaken, but, as I said, this is how I understand it.

I know yall tired of seeing this pic. Remove the pushbar or keep it on? Eventually going to do 24s or 26s for wheels
