New to me 1998 K1500 Suburban

Just sent holding money on a 1998 Suburban.

166k on the clock. This is the cleanest OBS that I've ever seen short of a show truck. This guy daily drives this bad boy.

Plans are to remove that brush guard (hate those things), swap my wheels to it and drive it.

Nice Burb. Are you keeping that roof rack on it?

Undecided still on the roof rack. He built it himself and has had close to 1000lbs on it, so it's sturdy AF but to me it comes up short on the aesthetics end.

That interior is amazing!!! You don't see them that clean on the inside too often assuming that's all original. My 99 Tahoe ended up that clean but after I redid the whole thing LOL

I crawled under it, that thing is cleaner than my 2012 Tahoe....

Those covers are factory covers that the old man this guy bought it from got it when it was new. Garage kept except for the last 6 yrs. It's absolutely insane lol. Wife hates it cause it's "old". I love it, don't love the color, but for the shape this thing is in, I'll take it.

Can't complain, man! Plugging away and staying busy pretty much all the time.

I get it with the "too old" thing. I tried getting my wife into a GMT400 years ago when we got her Burb and she refused because they're "old" and she thinks they're ugly I then tried to tempt her with a squarebody and she hated those even more so we got the '07 The plus side to that is she never has any desire to drive any of my junk

Them stayin out of the ride is the best part lol. Mine said this one was ugly, and I said that's why I like it lol. It's like a pug or a shi tzu lol.

My wife used mine (‘99) for a trip to the plant nursery and had just had her ‘13 4Runner detailed.
When she got home she wanted to trade, half jokingly.

Hers is the AWD Limited and honestly one of the best vehicles we’ve had but just not fun to drive. She understands now why I always beat her home when meet up after work!

Got her home and immediately went to work. Swapped the '14 Avalanche wheels for my '17+ Silverado wheels. Removed the roof rack, and gave her a good washing.

that is a flawless Burb! Im jealous I wish the one I bought was in that shape. I love these OBS trucks and luckily my wife loves them too so she actually encouraged me to buy one!
