took it to the dealer this morning and requested they reprogram the hvac control. got it back a couple hours later and my b0168 dtc is gone and rear heat works properly. so in my case the hvac unit I replaced this summer did not have the correct software and was giving an error for a "rear temp sensor 2" that my vehicle does not have and needed to be programmed out.

$123 I could have probably installed the tisweb or whatever it is on a laptop and paid the fee to get the software myself for probably half that cost but that's probably a time consuming adventure of its own so I just decided it would be easier for them to do and if they brick it then it's on them. the exterior temp doesn't show on the hvac control anymore like it did (just in the dic) that was probably the first sign it wasn't quiet right because nobody else's does either.

I tried installing that tisweb crap on my laptop and it was a huge pia, compatibility mode, software key, blah blah then I would have to buy a license and deal with installing it...no thanks. Maybe if I was working on cars for a living.

ya I kinda figured it would be a pia so I didn't even bother I had already done all the troubleshooting anyway so I was 99% sure it was just software, I have better things to do than screw around trying to make software work for 3-4 hours or more lol, quick and relatively painless.

I'm looking at it as you saving some diagnostics charges as well as gaining a deeper understanding of these things. Good job.

Airaid Jr with filter thanks to @01FormulaTA

Same filter, intake and muffler as me. I really liked the growl from my Airaid cuz it sounded kinda like how I wanted the exhaust to sound. One of my disappointments with the muffler was that it seemed to attenuate that growl, almost canceling it out. But, the muffler's sounding better the more miles I put on it and I can hear the intake growl again. :D

I'd like to hear your assessment.

Funny you mentioned, I couldn't hear the Airaid because of the muffler. LoL Love the way the muffler sounds, it has a gurgle to it at times.

Snowed about 5" overnight. I work at the local high school and me and my daughter had no school/work today so the wife drove it to work (about 30 miles each way). It was sitting out in the driveway so I had to clear the snow off of it for her...lol

BTW, does anyone know how to extend the remote start an additional 10 mins? I'll remote start it and it shut off while I was still clearing the snow off of and around it.

You get 2 10 minute auto starts then you have to key start it to reset the auto starts. I have not found a way/method/ anyone to extend it. Maybe someone with a Tech2 can chime in.
