Tonight, while 86 outside didn't feel all that bad. Went outside and cleaned out the truck, used the Tech2 to clear those antenna and actuator codes and then pulled up the tire pressures on the DIC and Tech2 and adjusted the air pressure with the Hybrid Air Compressor so that they were all the same. Before they mandated this TPMS stuff, I never never ever paid this much attention to precisely setting the air pressures before and these LT tires are extra finicky about temperature and pressure changes. Anyway, got both system to show the same number for all 4 tires. So I'm sure tomorrow morning they'll all be different again!

Checked the engine oil, not a drop lost after 3K miles. Used the Tech2 to check the Transmission Oil Life Monitor and it was at 92%.

Turn the key to the on position, but do not start. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.

That's what's done it on most GMs since about 1995, or so.

Pete, I'm pretty sure it can only be done with a bi-directional scan tool or HP Tuners or EFI Live and such. It's barely mentioned in the shop manual and the tech who changed my fluid didn't reset it as part of the procedure.

Yeah! I was wondering that too! Did it stay pretty clear in that year? Or did it fog back up?

Mine has what looks like a clear coat coming off. When it cools off we have the Meguiar's kit to redo the GMC's and Kia's headlamps. Might just clear coat them afterwards but haven't looked into what to use yet.

Looks like a rubber.....would be better if it said ‘catch all’....:)
To the touch it feels like rubber. I chuckled when i opened it, once it was wet and sanding started! that lil block ripped it up. The brown milky stuff is road grime and who know what else. So you just sand till no more muck. Hoes down the light, dry and wipe. Hell $9 VS $340 was a great deal. I also got the wipe new tire care. Living in the desert tires dont shine for more than a few days. Wanna see if it really last 6 month. Show you guys when i am done and ill update in 6 months! If i remember.

Ima check around the rust oleum site and see what they used to seal it. The lil wipe was soaked when i opened it, i let it dry out and the wipe was rock hard.

New edelbrock filter! Still waiting on the tube.

Doubtful on the 470 horses.

Wow! It is a noticeable increase. Sure after the tube is in it will respond better. So i got a longer tube so it fills in better in the stock filter location. Give me your thoughts on this!!!! You know the lil air scoops? I wanna cut out the side fender and install a thin sleek scoop that is actually functional and box up the filter so i am actually drawing colder air that the air inside the wheel well.

Why not just draw it from the bottom under the bumper/behind the tow hooks?

The OEM setup already does exactly this, and without gaudy fender vents. The stock air box, filter and all flow more air than the engine can ingest at WOT at RPM redline while sufficiently filtering it. If you wanna do a little something, get a scoop from an older TBI car at the salvage yard and use it as a duct to bring a harder air charge into the stock box from outside. Just consider rain and water puddles when placing the scoop.

If you're dead-set on doing as you planned, you're gonna need bigger or more scoops. Look at the size of your throttle body- the hole or holes in the fender need to be about that size or bigger.

that means it is good for use with up to 470hp systems, not 470hp gain ;)
