Ouchy, glad the family is good .:angels2:

Well on the plus side at least the damage was on the fender, hood, bumper cover, and headlight area where there was that one small rock chip, so it was gonna get painted anyway.......
......or maybe that was just a dead bug:think:

Did the airbag go off?

Lol cob. That blows that it happens while you're out of town. I'm sure the mrs. wasn't too happy without you there. Hope all is well. I guess you won't be the president of the high mileage club anymore lol

we'll see. I'm not leaning one way or another til I get the official word of what way they go. I may still be in the high mileage club if I get lucky and it gets fixed.

Holy Cow

wife was running errands with youngest burb and dude pulled out in front of her as she was going 45 mph down the main road in our town. She and little one are good. jr burb was excited to see the police cars and stuff. wife was shook up emotionally about it but physically she's fine. Don't know much else at this point as we just had it towed to the body shop and the insurance company is still building the claim. So still not sure what's gonna happen.

Man, that's good news. I'm glad everyone is ok.

Did Jacob blame mrs Jacob for this?
I did and I berated her til she was a ball of tears. She's got a lot of dishwashing and sammich making to do in order to "right the ship"

So what's the next ride/username?
not sure yet. If this jalopy gets totaled I've been looking at possibly picking up either a NNBS ESV or early K2xx burb. don't feel like spending the coin for new but hoping I can find a low mileage something and save some money.

My vote is for NNBS ESV or Denali XL. The LWB K2XX trucks are painfully slow and unresponsive. Last tine I drove one uphill I had to hit the gas a full ten minutes before I needed it to accelerate so it would have time to figure out its gearing and muster enough power for an additional 3mph.

good info to know! I definitely want it to perform well. I've gotten spoiled with my '07 after it got tuned. Cannot go back to the laggy response again.

I wonder if it was just that one. My truck is not this way and the Tahoe we rented in FL was fine, I realize you said LWB but I can't see them being that much different.
