We have Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 cell phones. Neither one will charge wirelessly in our 2025 Yukon. The phones both show charging then disconnect then show charging. We get the same effect over and over with or without the cases. This is typically an indicator of weak charging. Both phones work fine on generic wireless chargers which we use at home with or without cases. Is anyone else having this issue?

We don't have this problem with our Android S24+ phones in our 2022 Tahoe or 2025 Silverado both charge real good even with the cases. How are you putting the phone on the wireless charger in the Yukon back down or face down? We place ours back down on the charger.

Back down on both. Have also tried rotating left to right and right, center and left alignment. No improvement.

You need to try a few different brands of phones on there. If all of them work, then you have your answer.....

Is there a way to disable wireless charging in the vehicle?

I'm not seeing anything in the manual (2025 tahoe).

you could probably pull a fuse otherwise just dont use it
Not using it is a bit harder, my phone slid into that slot and didn't land flat and it had a caution sign on the charging status, I didn't notice right away. Not that the caution sign means anything bad (I don't think) it seems like it just wasn't charging.

I have two phones and I need to put them somewhere, I also have keys and other items that take up the front compartment so I'd like to use the charging area as more storage.

I did check the fuse location and I see this in the manual

F28
WCM/VKM – Wireless
Charging Module/Virtual
Key Module

Seems like I can just pull f28 but I need to see what virtual key module is, first.

That is the slot for the fob to sit in when needed, it is in the manual, some vehicle procedures may require the fob to be in the slot

Virtual Key Sensor only comes up 3 times in the manual (when using the search function) and they are all fuse locations.

There is a slot in the center console for the key fob, I believe it is for when the fob battery gets to low to operate and other misc functions

I thought I read something different for tahoe's if you have bench vs bucket seating. I don't remember reading anything about a slot to insert the key. What I recall reading said that you place the fob by the sensor.

Edit- It is w/ bench seat and w/o bench seat. With bench seat it is under the center storage compartment, I guess that's what you meant by center console, my mistake on that, I was picturing something else, but I am wrong.

Without bench seat it appears to be in the left hand side cup holder.

I guess I can pull the fuse for the wireless charging, if I want to go that route. Would be nice to have an on/off button to enable/disable charging, but I guess that's just one more item to deal with.

you could add a toggle switch if you really wanted to. you could unscrew the lid and wire it in on the bottom side, that way you would not have to remove the fuse and interrupt anything else. it would only need to be a on/off switch interrupting either power or ground whichever is easiest.

I'd rather leave it as is or pull the fuse.
