Window Tint Pictures

Looking for pictures /examples of GMC Yukons with tints.

Thinking about going a little lighter with 35% on the 2 front windows but want to make sure it will still match.

Not a GMC, but 35% matched mine perfect, now if you park with the sun coming in the front windshield it will look lighter, but on an overcast day the match is perfect

It will depend on the brand and model of tint you choose how well it'll match some are on the darker side some lighter some have different colors to them. Generally on the "looks only" films you'll need more like a 20% to match the factory tint on the back. I can post picture(s) of mine if you want but I don't think it'll help you. I've got 3M Crystalline on the whole windshield (50%) and front doors (40%) and 3M Ceramic on top of the rear windows (35%) on our Yukon.

5% (limo) over factory tint on all ‘rear’ windows, 35% on driver/passenger and windshield. Wish I would have went darker in the windshield! You can not tell the windshield has tint on it night or day in the driver seat but it makes a HUGE difference on eye strain during sunny days and really helps protect the interior. I had all the other windows done at first then had the windshield done a few months later - if you do the windshield it will make the driver/passenger tint look a step or two darker.

I'm surprised you wanted the windshield darker than 35%! I had 35% done on my old Trailblazer and the front doors were 20%. It was great during the day but it sucked at night.

I think mine is 15%. The tint guy said its as close to factory as can get get...

Just paid a fine because of the front tint.

What state do you reside in? I doubt Florida as they do not seem to bother with dark tint unless it is 5% or less all around.

My wife got a ticket a few years ago because when we bought our 2008 Denali, it came with tint on the front doors and in Iowa, anything darker than factory on the front door windows or windshield is illegal. I had been planning on removing because I hated driving at night with it, just didn’t get it done soon enough. It was removed that night.

I'm from NY. 70% or more of the light must pass through the front side window.

That's ridiculous. I can't even drive a car with no window tint, feels like a fish bowl. I have ~20% on the side and 50% on the windshield and still need sunglasses during the day. And the heat reduction from the good film I can't live without now that I've experienced it.

Iowa is the same. Factory let’s through 70% or so and that is all you can have.

They say it is for officer safety so the officer can see what the driver is doing, but most LEO’s I’ve talked to would rather they limit the tint on rear windows so they can see what’s going on in the vehicle as they walk up to it.

I ended up going w/ 30% Xpel XR ceramic on the front 2 windows as I was looking for something lighter but was worried about it matching.

cant speak for him but here where I am at in Alabama I would be nailed non stop for having tint anywhere near what any of these pics have. It sucks but its the biggest reason for a ticket around here. Makes most of the income for the local cops and troopers. Loud exhaust that is annoying its just fine, rolling coal to the point it blocks peoples view is A okay, parts falling off your car and no lights you are good, A little dark tint yeah your F-ed.
