Where is the best place to mount a trailer wire connection.

I have attached a bumper that mounts under the frame. I know where the trailer wire connection on the Tahoe is, but where would you mount the wiring.

Can you something like this or does your Tahoe not have the cut out? A picture of what you got would help.

Mine has the cutout, just wondering if drilling there would reduce structural integrity.

I mounted a Curt hitch and 7 pin socket for a while. Then I discovered how easy it was to replace the impact bar to gain the factory hitch and socket locations. I also gained a lot of clearance.
