its a turbo boost, like in knight rider.





but really, its the lumbar support, pushing it forward pumps air into a pocket built into the seat to give some support to the mid to lower region of your back. i find it helps alleviate some back pain for me, since i'm on the taller side and at my age already have back problems/pain. my rx-7 has this option too, but it works using a dial mechanism, no electronics.
