Front map light button broken

Hey guys, anyone have a tutorial or a post on how to fix the front map lights? My driver side one, the button pushed in and won’t retract. I can feel that the “spring” or whatever it is, is no longer functioning. Would like to fix it if there is already someone out there that has a fix

Clean the mice out is 1st step whichever way you go! New/used.
They like to crawl up A&B pillars.

Can you put a small suction cup on the depresses plastic surface and pull the switch back to is resting position? That would be a troubleshooting starting point.

It’s loose actually, it now falls back into its position at times but you press it and it’s like nothing behind it. So it’s broke somehow. I guess a trip to the pull-a-part is in order
