Are you watching the Coolant Temp gauge on the dash or monitoring it with a scan tool? I don't know enough about Tahoe dashes to vouch for their accuracy all the time.

My 98 runs around 180 to 210. I've had a few other GMT400's and they've all run in that range.

On scan gauge (with A/C off)
At highway speed 195-200 fluctuating
Stop and go 200-210
My radiator Fans don't kick in until 227[emoji51]
I don't like it to get that hot, so when it gets about 213 I kick on the A/C for a minute and it cools down pretty quick.

With A/C on (radiator fans running)
Temp never goes above 200 in stop and go during Texas Summer[emoji106]

Once warmed up My stock gauge doesn't move from 208 until the temp reaches 217 ( indicated by the scan gauge) then it moves just past 210.
