Pulled the bumper and hood latch support out of the radiator this morning.

It's still trucking with a broken nose, surgery will happen in February to fix the grill and straighten the bumper more, then bumper replacement in April with an ARB.

Why don't people post in here more often? Hell, I do something to my OBS everyday, whether big or small. The last few days, I've done an oil change, resealed the oil filter adapter housing, replaced the oil cooler fittings on the adapter housing, changed the trans filter, replaced the pitman arm, did an alignmen, refurbished some interior parts, and today I sat and broke down all the RPO codes in an effort to learn more about my truck

Make I ask how?
Traffic was getting thick in the right hand lanes so I got over a lane to the left and saw brake lights so started to slow down and get over further still when I realized the lane I got into was nearly stopped for some reason. Impact speed was only 15 mph but her trailer hitch nailed my bumper about where the airbag sensors are. The exterior damage is truly limited to what you see, the frame is good. I've already got a replacement grille and core support coming (for free so worth the wait) and my friend is giving me his arb bumper so this accident wasn't all bad news.

Took the Yukon to the junkyard to look around. Found a Z71 Tahoe that I grabbed the fender flares, fog light switch and wood grain dash bezel off of. The front bumper and fogs were already gone and I wanted the running boards but they were bent to hell. There was a OBS escalade that had the center console in it but somebody destroyed that.

who in the hell is giving you all this free stuff? i never get that lucky lol

Ha ha. I've got a buddy that is building a 1970 impala, and I've helped him set up his suspension. He used to have a 94 shortbed, and he showed up with a box full of goodies for me to say thanks. His Impala is pretty impressive. Put down 680hp to the ground. And it's an N/A SBC carbed motor

Ouch!

My christmas present from the POS was a broken alternator and a toasted battery. The good news was I had a spare alternator and a used battery in the trunk. My laziness is a good thing sometimes. I got the battery from work 2 weeks earlier and I was to lazy to take it out. The spare alternator...well it's a GM lol.

Pretty sure trans is blown from the other day... Willing to bet the 33s were the cause.. went over to pick up a car about 30 min away. Came back and almost got in town when it started slipping. Had to drop car. And limp back to shop n pick up later.. if I gotta rebuild it it's getting bullet proofed. Was just about to regear to help the trans out... that and when I left the 2dr at the shop it magically got a flat so guess I need a new 33 aswell

33s on 3.43 gears and hauling a car back from about 30 - 40 min away. Was keeping it way under 75 but I'm assuming the trans fluid still got pissed. Before the 33s I had no problem hauling whatever wherever I had hauled a car 4 hours away at 75mph with no problem
