he could of cleaned the engine bay haha that oil pan is hideous, reminds me of shrek lol

but 26mpgs, ill take that!!

He had to fab the oil pan to clear the IFS,I bet a lift kit(6inch RCX) that lowers the IFS would fix that....no mod required

My buddy has a 93 dodge 1 ton 4x4 that gets over 24 mpg,5.9 cummins /big turbo and injectors .

I spent the last 2 days fighting with brake stuff. Installed a complete new rear hard line to the axle, and new rear wheel cylinders. Next will be a drum hardware kit install and new axle hard lines. o_O did I mention I ran out of light and finished using a propane Coleman lantern? :-D

Got it all installed last nite, shifts feel great. That new trans mount went in alot easier then I expected. Don't know why the factory used a stud version ...

Also Autozone's Duralast filter/gasket kit has a nitrile rubber gasket (reusable) now ... nice if I ever have to drop the pan again. The only drawback was using a 3/8s drive 5/8s socket was a lil tough, the pan should really be notched in some of those bolt holes, it's a lil rough putting the 12 pt socket on and getting it off on a few of them ...

retorq- was your trans fluid ever changed before/after when you bought it? Always hear never to change the fluid if your over a certain "mileage".. Like its better to just keep the stuff thats in it, in it... if that makes any sense.

From everthing I have read The general consensus is do not have the trans backflushed(like they do at oil change places) if it is has high miles(never found a definition of high miles except over 100k) What i did was with my 96ECSB with 245K was change the filter then removed the top trans cooler line and flushed with fresh fluid until it was new fluid coming out. this thread here explains the procedure. http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=179148

Washed it along with the sonoma and s10 and noticed it has some kind of tree sap or something all over the hoe and sonoma. feel like sandpaper... looks like i have some clay bar and waxing in my near future for the hoe.

I've got almost 100K on my rebuild tranny, I changed the fluid when I put in the new pan ... I've heard never change it too but I don't listen. LOL

Are the Denali cooler and lines made from gold or something??
