Took the drums off my 14 bolt SF 6 lug axle today. Ordered disk brake hardware, a welder (Miller 190) and the hardware to make this biotch disk stoppered.

Tonight it clean the PCV, IAC and EGR

...and order the parts and extractor tool to replace that bloody stupid heat hose quick disconnect shit; its starting to leak, which means its going to break if I look at it right. I'm just going to get the 1/2" NPT x 5/8" barb fitting and go with normal 5/8" line.

In the last 24 hours

- LEDs in the door marker lights (5000k)
- LEDs in the map lights (5000k)
- LEDs in the license plate lights (5000k)
- LEDs in the footwells under the dash (5000K)

o Removed the rat nest hack job security system and the truck still runs (LOL) - Just glad I have a decent understanding of GM Ignitions/TheftLock and Passlock system.......if not it would still not be running

o Removed and replaced then heater hose quick disconnect (w/ 1/2 NPT 5/8" straight barb fitting) on the intake manifold (was leaking). And because I bought the extractor tool....it didn't break; amazing how that works.

o replaced the heater hose from the water pump to the heater core exchange and the hose that used to be the line with the quick disconnect

o Disassembled the dash to install all of the LEDs that are shipping from SuperBrightLeds (based on the How To thread in here.....thanks)

o Cleaned the pass.side of the engine bay and motor........ the drivers side will be fun

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Up next --

- new oil cooler lines since mine are leaking like the Exxon Valdez (NEW AC Delco lines (IN and OUT)
- gasket kit for the oil cooler......its also leaking
- new oil cooler fittings (NEW AC Delco) Might as well do the whole F'N system since I'm going to go through the effort of draining the oil and replacing all the lines right....... one shot, one kill!

- 180* thermostat

- install my new front seats and center console from a 99 Suburban. They are so clean they look new.

^ Busy man right there.

Sent from my Spaceship.

Well Im a maintenance ****, hate things that leak and all vehicles I own need to be ready to drive cross country w/o notice.

And since I have time to do it, I might as well do it all and right.

In August I'm doing the intake manifold gaskets and everything associated with it.

Question for the masses, anyone have experience with that Taylor intake manifold riser/spacer kit....not the throttle body spacer.

It claims 21hp and 21 ftlbs......I understand the logic of the kit, just looking for real world reviews or opinions

Reinstalled the oil cooler with new gaskets, fittings and new lines. Getting what I believe to be the original oil cooler gasket off from the block was a total bish.......but I always win!

After I was done with the above I finished the job with a Royal Purple oil filter and Royal Purple HMX 5w30

At start up I noted I about a 5 to 10 psi gain in oil pressure at idle

Also sealed the deal on 2 mint front seat and console. When I was loading up I asked the guy if he had the driver side interior door panel....he did, it was also mint and i stole it for $15

Hell of a day I must say.

Took out my center console to clean it and I'm glad I did, the carpet underneath is disgusting. If I can find the time I may strip out the interior and give it a good vacuum and scrubbing.

Yesterday I replaced the broken exterior drivers door handle (that was a treat) and replaced the broken hood release lever

Also added the LED dome light bulbs to match everything else

** Also removed the OEm running boards, I have my eye on a set of OEM Z71 step bar/running boards

Yeah the door handles suck I've got a trick of using a stiff swivel to get the inside bolt inn place and spinning it by hand while lining up the handle

I broke the driver door handle once, replaced it with a cheap AutoZone one, that failed in a few months so I went to the dealer and got one from them, and that was 5 years ago now.

Spent 6 hours resealing the rear diff, lubing all 20 something grease zerks (that requires 3 different fittings to do as well) then detailing it. It's nice to have a clean truck again.

Didn't do this today, but my trip to the coast is why I spent all day yesterday cleaning and fixing it.
