here in az i really need to tint the fronts. the rays are harsh. anyone know of a way to uv/tint protect the windshield legally?

Getting a doctors note is the only "legal" way to tint the whole windshield that I know of

unknown at this time.
i have heard of 3m's crystalline products but have not seen it in action or know of it legality. stuff is not cheap either. about $800 for a full car install so i am guessing roughly $200 for a windshield.

I have Llumar Air Blue. with a 35% over it. the tint guy said this should put it close to 15% but not as Black as just standard 15%. my wife's car has regular metallic based 20% and I think Hers looks just as dark as mine if not darker but I plan on keeping this truck so I wanted the extra UV A/B protection for my interior. im not sure how it effects inside temps yet as I all ways try to park in the shade but I will let u know if I notice a difference when I go out for lunch.

dropped the trans pan on the 99 , changed filter , fillerd her with mobil1 atf. changed oil / filter with mobil1 5w-30 / ac delco filter. gave her a wash / clay and coat of "ice", vacuum, interior detail , leather treatment. i cant believe how silky the 15 year old paint can get again... cant stop rubbing her.:licklips:

i usually use a lot of extensions and stand really far back to get to the bell housing bolts. like a could of feet and a swivel socket will probably work

Put a Warn Trans4mer brush guard, new head lights and turn signals. I went with the OEM headlights and signals.

Thanks! Yes it is a 3 piece. May get the winch at a later date. The guard is rated at 9500 lb. for a winch.

was the 2 door's turn for some love. chenged oil and filter , cleaned out PCV valve and hoses , hit the MAF with cleaner , hit the throttle body with cleaner. last but not least , replaced my side view mirirs with new units from ebay. i tell ya, one of the best cosmetic restorations for the money. it was about 45 for the pair of power mirrors, and the quality was outstanding. my originals worked fine with no cracks or anything , but were past the point of bug/tar remover or compound. they just started to bug me everytime i had a nice clean truck. i ordered some 2" wheel spacers for the rears. i wont have dough for a while for new wheels and 33's , so the next best thing to improve stance with the stockers is to push the reasr out a bit in the wells. i hope it will look ok

found a set of z71 wheels on craigslist for $300. mounted them with a set of 2" spacers on the rears to get them to fill out the well better. i think it made such a difference in stance . i also added some stainless steel wheel arch trim. so far im happy with the look

im thinking of some mud gueards all the way around , but havent made up my mind. the wheel centercaps are shot , so i will be replacing with a set i found on ebay.

one question , when removing the front right wheel , some ******* with an impact gun cross threaded the crap out of one lug. i had to grind it off , but the stud is no good anymore. can i get away with 5 lugs on these wheels and be safe?
