Last weekend
New parking brake shoes, tire rotation, oil change, greased the brake caliper slides.
Still going to need to order new calipers(they've been squeaking most likely because the dust seals on a couple of the Pistons are torn and filled with a brake dust and dirt and whatnot.
Found the rear diff cover leaking-potentially a broken seal... have to find out if tightening the bolts down health or made it worse. Use the felpro gasket, but when I tightened it down it looks like it started to squeeze out. Unfortunate the 14 bolt doesn't have the rubber and steel reusable gasket like the 10 bolt.
Engine oil cooler lines seem to be leaking somewhere on the short little rubber lines.
The starting battery needs to be replaced again. My fuel line for the flex fuel sensor needs to be remade-seems to be seeping fuel occasionally. Found a lower control arm bolt a bit loose also.

Also, those replacement center caps I have are already looking like crap, cracking from being over tightened and the threads on the plastic nuts are starting to disappear, the bow tie in the middle is all foggy.
Ordered some of the ppv center caps off eBay.
They're a little beat up, and I think I'm going to repaint them with silver steel-it which should cover up some of the scratches not that I'm too worried about that, but also match the wheels a little better.
I do need to get bolts and spacers and drill and tap the wheels though.
Got a pic of your current caps? Is it $75 for all 4 caps? If so that's a good price.

Not a real recent or close up pic.

With shipping and tax and whatever it came out to like 90 bucks, all 4. Even though they're scuffed up, seems like a good deal. They're just going to get more hurt on my wheels anyway. But now I need to get new lug nuts as well... Although, 160,000 miles worth of tire rotations, I think they're pretty tired anyway.
Brand new ppv caps they're going for $60 a piece.

$60 for the black ones on the K2xx rigs. I’ve been seeing over $100 for the chrome nnbs caps.

I have a question for you gurus. I’m looking at acquiring a thirdtwin. The local Chevy house has a 2015 LT with 4wd. The listing says it’s a single speed transfer case. I assumed, I know right, that really meant AWD. looking at it in person the selector still has 4Hi and 4Lo.

So what is a single speed transfer case versus 2 speed?

im looking at a future overland ride upgrade from thecopcar.

First Pic is single speed transfer case knob.

Second pic is two speed transfer case knob.

Two speed has 4low

A triplet?! You're Nutz!

I'd say the listing is incorrect.
It must be a 4wd.
AWD = "1 speed"
4WD = "2 speed"

Early LT motor...Ive heard drama.
Did you test drive? Try to put it in 4Low?

I originally was looking for a white '15-'20 SSV...but at the time, they were at least $10k more for a '15 vs a '14 with the same miles.

I have not driven it. Stealership is closed today, and open Sunday. Stupid blue laws.

I have dirt roads in my neighborhood to test the 4Lo on.

Most likely theothertwin will go in trade, or be sold to a neighbor's boyfriend.

Was last night but all the same, changed my diff fluid for what might have been the first time in 135k miles. There was a solid 1/2in of metal powder/sludge on the magnet and the fluid was silvery black. Hope no permanent damage. Also added a spring pad on the drivers rear to help level it out after adding 2in drop springs.

Test it on the street...just drive straight. It'll obviously shift very different speeds as High.
I've actually never had mine is a situation where I used Low range, yet.

Ah, got you, a newer replacement.
