Yeah, that's my view on the subject.

Granted, thing I never wanted to learn like thrust bearing failure due to cooling circuit blockage and stuff....
but this is still good stuff.
I don't see the tahoe going anywhere for quite a while.

Some guys do model trains and crap, this is my bag until i'm unable to do the actual work.

I was driving through town with my new fishing pole in the back to meet my buddy for a fishing expedition (that's one of the things retired guys do) when the new Suburban that replaced my Suburban at that business went past. I pulled in behind her at her parking lot (the owner) and had a nice chat about our vehicles. Her new one is a Suburban RST, metallic auburn (my first color choice), max trailering package, and 6.0L motor. She hasn't had any issues with it so far and loves it. That vehicle is exactly what I originally wanted except for diesel. I am on the fence now concerning the diesel anyway so maybe that is the motor I want as well. I looked at the odometer and she is on track to drive the new one about 9000 miles a year same as she did mine. Tongue in cheek she agreed to sell it to me in a few years.

Did an oil change/new filter.

On the way to the store to buy the stuff I noticed my dash Oil Pressure gauge was reading 20psi higher than normal. it's moving fine, but the values are off, compared to the normal readings last night. After turning off the engine, the gauge still read 24 psi.

It should be 0 psi, with the engine off, right?

I suspect the pressure sender is messed up, and now the sensor is reading the same levels, but shifted up +24psi.

On the way to the store to buy the stuff I noticed my dash Oil Pressure gauge was reading 20psi higher than normal. it's moving fine, but the values are off, compared to the normal readings last night. After turning off the engine, the gauge still read 24 psi.

It should be 0 psi, with the engine off, right?

I suspect the pressure sender is messed up, and now the sensor is reading the same levels, but shifted up +24psi.

Could be the cluster too but unlikely.

I have been having this surging whenever I come to a complete stop, it lunges when I tap the gas or it goes into WOT for a split second. So much so I have almost gotten in a few accidents. My wife will not and has never driven my Tahoe (in the 7 years I've owned it) because of this and it is extremely nerve racking at times but, I have just gotten used to it. Until now haha, it finally drives normal all because of the new mass air flow sensor. Who woulda thunk.
It's been a long time but I have to say, it is finally nice to drive. Now all I need is a built trans and better stall

Watch the gauge sweep when you key on but before you start. Then, note the KOEO reading.

Nope, never thrown a maf code. Or any code for that matter.
Thought it was in my tune but, no one ever found anything. Now I know why haha

Bet your sensor is bad or if there is a screen below it it’s plugged.

The service was good. I did have issues with the quality of the chrome wheels. I documented it on here somewhere. Maybe in my thread about my burb. The machined face wheels I have are good. The chrome ones I got had a bubble that they warrantied for me with a trade-up for these.
