Old and new. Came with a new magnet, but I’m going to run the original since that split ring is kind of a pain and it works just fine. Fingers crossed this works

Replaced the starter. Sweated my ass off in the driveway. But changing the starter was a breeze on this thing compared years ago on my 94 s10 blazer. Since it was 4wd shit was in the way. Took forever fighting it out. Also found my slight exhaust leak.

Just Fishing........don't seal cedar with anything. Stuff like oil etc. Thompsons water seal is ok. Cedar does best oiled once in a while esp. the bottom near the ground.

which door seals did you put in and did they make a difference in terms of wind noise?cleaned all the crap out around the sunroof and installed the new front door seals, still need to do the drivers seat cushion and cover
cant it be super expensive if you have to break the connections?
oem should only be about $150, this should be the one check fitment, I checked and it say's 07-13 avalanche among others

Thanks, I took a screenshot of that. I might really need to do this with the engine swap, but because of the compressor location, I’m wondering if I can leave it alone. We’ll see...I did mine, the hardest part is the balancing of the oil.
Part of why i wanted to tear my old compressor down was to ensure i accounted for all of the oil.
My Tahoe with 175k, high pitched noise when ac running.
I tore my compressor down and found very limited wear.
My vote, do the clutch and keep rocking it.
only downside if the compressor goes would be the flushing required.
All in, the tools to do it are cheap.
Basic gauge set is helpful but not required.
Vacuum pump is right around $100, that's required.
If you do the pump, then it's suggested you get the drier while your at it.
More oil draining and balancing ftw...
And if you need it; it's PAG 46 oil for my 09.
I found that difficult info to find for some strange reason.
I bought the actual GM stuff off of ebay, so i have a ton left...![]()
send me an i/m if you do. I can send you the factory service manual details for it.Thanks, I took a screenshot of that. I might really need to do this with the engine swap, but because of the compressor location, I’m wondering if I can leave it alone. We’ll see...
That one I linked is sold by ac delco, rockauto wants $100 more for the same part, it's your moneyive had problems in the past with amazon sending knockoff parts. I looked at those and they aren't sold by amazon. I'm afraid to take the chance on them. Thank you for taking the time to link them though..
I've been reading quite a bit and it appears the cardone brand are the same axles as carquest, Napa, and Duralast. I think I'm going to spend a little more money and buy from advance auto over rockauto and see how it goes. It's easier to go 5 min to the parts store and grab it than to wait. If I have a problem (I'm sure I will eventually), I can drive to store and warranty it vs waiting on shipping. If they are shit, I'll buy oem and take it as a lesson learned.
