How'd it break? Internally?Well my fancy new radio is broken and not so fancy anymore. Oh well. Back to factory.

Kenwood. Either way isn’t most shit a China special? Was it a china special?
I'm surprised, Kenwood is usually pretty good.Kenwood. Either way isn’t most shit a China special?
Yup. Must have been an installation error. Kenwoods never burn up.I'm surprised, Kenwood is usually pretty good.
You know what I did. I thought you hook all the wires up to battery and put the chassis to ground. Everything works on Wi-Fi. Guess I was wrong...Yup. Must have been an installation error. Kenwoods never burn up.
I have a real hard time, I got big hands and arms. Left rear 2 are a mother for me. I broke my damn dipstick tube the last time. And I have spark plug wire tool and the long pipe needle nose you posted and they both aren't worth a ****. Half my wires the snap end of the wire rips off and stays on the plug. Pisses me the **** off. I uses dielectric grease on the boots this time around but the snap clips won't release they will just rip off anyway.
How about details of exactly what happened so we’re not guessing and jumping to conclusions. One said your fancy new stereo was broken so somebody had to ask what was wrong. Then the next post was one word- toast. There’s plenty of wires coming out the back that either have dc power coming in, dc power going out, audio signals, cameras, etc, any of which if allowed to touch the wrong thing can fry either the audio ic’s, the power supply, the display, the camera input, transistors, ic’s, capacitors, coils, resistors, diodes etc and if those fried circuits touch something else on the pc board they can result in what some people would say, in the simplest terms, toast. I used to repair electronics at the component level under factory warranty and out of the thousands of head units I repaired, if something fried it was 99.9% of the time due to external factors. So exactly what happened to yours? Did it just release all of its bottled up smoke or is there anything else you can share? So we don’t have to guess anymore....You know what I did. The mic jack disappeared and it won’t turn on anymore. My guess is the jack fell off the board and shorted out something somewhere else. You mean it fell inside the head unit? Are you talking about the jack on the rear of the case? You must have had a screw loose. The mic jack disappeared and it won’t turn on anymore. My guess is the jack fell off the board and shorted out something somewhere else. Toast

Lol that’s exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve never had one of those fall apart inside. I’ve heard of people snapping the plug off inside of the socket. You mean it fell inside the head unit? Are you talking about the jack on the rear of the case? You must have had a screw loose.
Sorry, couldn’t help it.
