VLOM solenoids depend on clean oil to function properly, other wise your AFM will be subject to failure

Ok, got it. What's the Viscosity Index of the oil you are using? Do you have the ASTM D445 and D4683/D4741 specs?

What were you using previously (if you know) when the lifter was making more noise?
It makes noise intermittently with the 5w-40 Rotella T6 but I don’t know the detailed specs beyond that. Not loud like when you think of a lifter tick. But you do hear a tap tap tap noise when its doing it and you’re next to a wall like in a drivethru.

I’ll just turn it off here in two weeks that way the VOLM solenoids never need to function at all. Hopefully delete it ASAP
would it turn off if you disconnect the wires ? or CEL?

like the V-8-6-4 days?

I almost wanna drill mine and plug it at home so if I'm out somewhere and it fails, I won't need to worry with a drill or anything. I found some plugs with an embossed texture on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Snap...SWZ6Y6YMZDR&psc=1&refRID=58E6TKBGJSWZ6Y6YMZDR

Although I'd be one to get a metal electrical knockout plug and spray paint it or polish it for dat billet look, yo :

I always thought you had to try and get the panel off from inside somehow, this is a lot easier

Knowing the General, and their stupidity, I would prob only drill a 1/2” hole..... 1 1/6 seems excessive....

Replaced the front pads and rotors....started getting a vibration when braking hard like when coming off the highway two weeks ago, and squeal from the indicator only 5 days ago...no idea they were this bad, wasn't having any issues until the vibration.
